Was just reading Elaines post about her weird dreams LOL
Reminded me of first THR....spinal block.
I was on the trolly afterwards {still not quite with it} whats new????? LOL..... I said to the porter......My knees are bent.....he said no you're completly flat.....no my knees are bent...he then said "did you have a spinal block?" Yes....you sat on the theatre table with your legs over the side? Yes....thats the last thing your brain remembers and it thinks your knees are still bent.....Doesnt the brain do funny things

    Hi Hileena,

Yes I totally agree with you! I had a spinal block for my hip replacements and when I was lying on the operating table (I stayed awake for the second one), after the surgeon had positioned me the anaesthetist asked me what position it felt like my legs were in and I said bent, and they were straight! Totally weird how your brain remembers that!

    Take care

    Hi Hileena,

In the beginning when I had my first major flare I was convinced the mattress on the hospital bed was tipping and I was going to roll off. I lay trying to hold onto one side to stop myself falling.

It was perfectly flat it was just my brain that was tipping.
