Hiya Everyone

Well been to hospital on the 31st aug, what a day appt was for 10:10 still in the waiting room at 11:00 when nurse comes to tell us that they have mucked up all the appt times for our clinic so can we come back at 12:00 (good job ive took day off), finally got seen at 12:40 consultant is immediately apologetic for the wait (im not bothered just want him to get on with it), he starts to explain that because im going into a trial i can have 1 of 2 operations MACI where they put little fracture holes into my knee in the hope that my body will grow its own cartledge or the new stem cell treatment where they take cartledge out of my knee grow it in a lab and then re implant it, the maci will mean 1 op the stem cell 2, one of which will be beginning of nov then the next one beginning of jan, we literally have our name put into the computer then that randomly puts us into either group for the op, whichever one i end up having it means crutches for 8 weeks, letter received today said that all blood tests that i had on the day are fine so i should hear within next few weeks which op i'l have, not sure which one i would prefer just fingers crossed that it works oh fogot to mention whichever one that i do have im not to mention it to any hospital worker when i go for rehabilitation, do they not no that i always slip up when im ment to be keeping secrets.

Jo-Ann

Cant b.lev ive just had wok on the telephone asking if i can contact the hospital and ask for an exct date of when im having my operation because they want to work out my holidays!!! talk about not being left alone got a feeling im going to have a nightmare with them when i do go in for op!!!!!!!
