Hi Folks
Bit sore today, spine and neck and hands
was going to give a big moaning session, BUT!!!!!!!
i then went on to the younger members Forum, and thought different, the pain and problems are bad for us mature sufferers shall I say, but when I read of the probs the younger folk have, it made me think otherwise, it made me ashamed that I have the nerve to complain
Then I sat and thought of the things my late Dad would be saying to me. It has made me really Humble and again ashamed.
Sorry I posted this, but I was feeling down.
Regards

maggie,
you have a fair point. some days i feel like that too. my friends 6 year old daughter has JIA and sometimes I feel a bit of a moaning minnie when i think what she must be going through at such a young age
we should think positive hey :?0 -
they do have it hard but from time to time it does get us down and then good scream or moan does help if we could take there pain we would but life does not work that way but do hope you feel much better soon valval0

Its true what everybody is saying, tell you the truth I would rather give birth to a football team of children, than have OA.
Miracles do happen, well in my case it would be a blooming miracle
Sorry Guys you wouldnt know what im talking about.

Yes the young ones must have it really hard....when you think how hard it is for us to convince people its not just a little....think how hard it must be for a young one.....Their peers will really not understand.
I also thinbk it must be hard for the parent with a child with JA as well...its sometimes easier to have the pain yourself than to watch your child with it and not to a lot

I have OA of the spine and i'm only 35. When i feel the need i shout and moan on here, gets things off you chest and everyone on here knows what you're going through and understands. Sometimes we just need to reach out x0

hi Maggie.
sometimes its hard not to moan... its so unfair at any age. i agree that when you see the youngsters with it it makes you feel you have nothing to moan abut but if its impacting then your allowed to moan.
I got the oa in my spine in my early 20's and have tried so hard not to moan about it.... i do though sometimes..... we all do.
its just unfair and its not something we either asked for or want but i try to live the hand i have been dealt.... just now and then it gets to me. sending you a cyber hug and a hope it eases off for you soon. Cris x sorry having to type one handed just now.0 -

Hi Mags, nothing like the forum to meet folks worse off than yourself ... and put things in perspective. Don't be too hard on yourself though, arther is mean whatever age, type you have or to what degree.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Thanks folks
Feeling a bit better now after the moan, and was feeling sorry for myself, not now, Im floating got Dr to prescribe me stronger painkillers, she is still getting the dosage right for me.
Suppose this has been the worst day for me so far where pains were concerned, but Grin and Bear it.
After what I said in my first posting, I wouldnt let this get me down, Boy was i daft, in thinking that, anyway thanks for the kind words and thoughts, Im going to live things up now with fun, fun,and more fun.
Regards

Hi Maggie
Your dad would want to hug you too
You know there are days when all of us feel shift and yesterday was one for you - no need ever to apologise for moaning - it is fair enough.
Yes it is awful that kids having this terrible illnessand maybe it is good to think of someone else but yourself, but I dont have you down as a moaner and what is happening to you IS blumin painful and doesnt do any harm to feel sorry for yourself every now and then
Might even be part of 'accepting' the illness.
I do hope today is a better day for you
Love and a hug
