    Hi Tilly
Good news about the blue badge, it does make things a bit easier at times. Sorry that you are having to appeal again. Good luck x

    Hi Tilly

Well done on getting your blue badge it will make life easier when you're out shopping etc.

Good luck with your appeal. Just lately it seems that everyone is having to appeal because of ATOS' inefficiency.

You would think the powers that be would wake up and realise that something is not right with so many folks appealing.

    Hi Tillypink,

Its good you have the BB as it will help you even though your hubby is driving you. Its hard sometimes to have to face or do the walk and its good you now don't have to worry at the distances you would have had to do.

I really am sorry your going to have to appeal. Flower now a days everyone is being turned down and its so wrong. You hang in there and will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Cris x

sorry to hear about the DLA hun, that sucks. Seems alot of people are being messed about, im not holding out much hope on mine either. Good luck with the appeal though.

As for the BB, brilliant news. I bet that will make things sooo much easier for you when your out and about with your other half. I didnt realise you could get a badge without DLA but hubby has just informed me you can and he's taking me to the town hall tomorrow. Youve inspired me to try for one :D

    Cheers xx

Thanks it will make shopping easier, hate it as it is..not a typical woman I'm afraid.lol.

ATOS need to be shot, its hard enough getting around but for them to say no it takes the biscuit!

    thanks

BBs are wonderful - I hope you really find it beneficial. I have had mine for a few years now and I wouldn't be without it. I'm sorry about the DLA but no great surprise there in the current climate. You appeal, you never know. I'm happy for you tillypink - I hope it has cheered you a little too. DD

    Hi Tilly

Glad you have your blue badge - use it! It will be invaluable! All those places you've struggled to get will be back within reach :)

Well done for appealing the DLA as well as ESA - I still cant talk about these two benefits at the moment they make me so very very cross :x

But i will be behind you all the way.

    Love

    Hi DD

Yeah it has cheered me up , silly I know but its gonna help loads and I can get out more knowing I can park closer etc :) !

Was expecting the DLA to say no, but still gonna appeal though! Wish that ESA would be demolished would help everyone then get what there entitled for,but we can live in hope I suppose.

    Hope ur well DD

    thanks again

    Hi Tilly

glad you got the BB :D .... but rotten you were turned down for the DLA & ESA. :(:(
I remember you saying that they were going to use the ATOS medical for assessing the DLA..... all I can say is we are with you every step of the way with your appeals.

Have you contacted your MP? I contacted mine and he has really come up trumps and is handling the appeal on my behalf. So it might be worth you writing to your MP too. (I sent him an e-mail rather than writing)

I wish you well with this Tilly.... it's all so unfair!

Glad your bb badge came through Tillypink - will be very useful when out and about.

Can you drive? Or is it something you have never learnt to do?

I'm sorry about the DLA - looks like you'll have to appeal. I wonder if anyone gets DLA these days without appealing?! What a daft system.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Glad you have got your blue badge. I have one & they are so useful if you can find a space. Re DLA, my son has been in & out of Hospital since May this year because of an ulcer on his leg caused by breaking it 10 years ago & then a year later having the pins & plates taken out, not a good idea in his case. Had to have the bone scraped & then plastic surgery, twice, because the first time they did it it the operation failed. Anyway he applied for DLA in July & was turned down, re-applied & yesterday he got another letter awarding him DLA of £70 a week & backdating it too. So it is worth asking them to review the decision.

Hi, Yes I'm in the same position regarding ESA, but I don't have a badge, as I don't think I'd get one. No harm in try, I suppose and it would help.

I'm so pleased that you've got yours and hope that you'll be out and about without too many parking problems!!

Yes you definitely must try again. Don't be put off. I have had Osteoarthritis for about 16 years now, in my leg due to breaking it & in my spine due to falling on that too. We must be a clumsy family. Allthough my son broke his leg in a motorway accident. Anyway good luck with re-applying for DLA
