Hello my Friends

Hope you all have a decent pain free weekend.

Just posting to say that over the last few nights I have not been able to sleep much just catching about 2-3 hours each night. Getting dead legs and arms and eyes wide open. Don't know why as over recent weeks my sleep was improving. My medications have not changed so no answers.

I am only posting this message as I just need to say out loud that I am absolutely knackered as I don't want to keep moaning to my boyfriend etc. I feel a wee bit better now that I have typed "I'm tired" out aloud so no need to use your finger power typing to reply to this!
Keep smiling everyone and have a good weekend.
Carol

I think the sleep thing comes and goes - or perhaps your arthrtis/lupus is winding up to have a go - I certainly hope not! Sleep when you can, and perhaps it will all revert to how it should be. Have a snoozy week-end. DD

Thanks for that DreamDaisy and Babycham ..... I hope your new meds settle in quickly and you get some decent sleep.

I stupidly think I made my hand and arm worse last night as 'cos I couldn't sleep I read and read for hours but silly me was reading a book that has 3 books in one so is absolutely massive and heavy.

Silly girl! When will I learn?

    Oh Carol,

You poor thing, I did exactly the same thing with a book the other day so you are in good company :-) Stupid isn't it, you ache from head to toe so you think a bit of quiet reading will do you good. I have been wondering about buying one of those book clip things, something like this http://www.ezbookclip.com/ so i just have to rest the book on my lap as I tend to read in bed with my knees up. That or maybe we should treat our selves to a nice ebook reader hehehehe

Hi Carol, spells of not sleeping or not sleeping well are the pits.

You are warm enough in bed aren't you ... as the season changes the nights are getting colder. We put our warmer duvets on the bed last night - and I slept much better than the last few nights.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Hope the sleep improves. I said to my hubby the other day that I am SAS trained in sleep deprivation now. It's horrible when your sleep goes to pot because everything else feels better when you sleep well.

I hope you catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's soon hun.

    Ange..xx

Shoulder and hand for me too

Hope things improve soon for you.

    hellooo Carol,

how's your day been flower :?: hope you've not been crashing out! k050.gif
lack of sleep is the pits... cause the nights are much longer than the day's  :? ...well you know what I mean.

Are you too warm? (silly me... you're in Scotland too  ) too cold? drinking coffee too late in the evening? worrying about something? in pain? difficulty changing position in bed? noisy neighbours? snoring hubby or snoring dog? (my dogs both snore)........ can't think of more!

Do you take night meds Carol? some of them do help with sleep problems too... so if it persists best see the doc.

bet you fell asleep reading this.... d050.gif

Aw! Thanks for all your messages my Friends. It is good and bad to know I am not alone if you know what I mean.

Good news is that I slept for x10 hours STRAIGHT last night - woo hoo! Felt so much of an airhead after that marathon sleep that I walked into the bathroom door when I got up! Doh!

Hope my sleep magic spreads to everyone else this weekend.

You mentioned dogs snoring? Alas, I do not have a dog however will find out if my friend's english bulldog is pregnant or not shortly as I will be getting one if she is! Cannae wait. She can snore all she likes as it'll be more hypnotic than my boyfriend haha!

Have a good weekend my Friends and sleep well xx

10 hours? Wow. Respect. The only thing I do for ten straight hours nowadays is breathing. I am glad you had a good night's kip - here's to many more! (Is there a carola-shaped dent in your door?) DD

DD - I have a door dent in my forehead

Yep, Toni - I am too excited for words about a puppy. I need to start to try to walk every day so the docs say so an english bulldog is pretty much the perfect dog for me as a lady one is not too strong and they are so lazy I will need to drag her out the door for her doing her 'business'. I will call her Jeanie after my dearly departed Gran and Great Auntie. Should know in a week or so if the Mum dog is pregnant. The breeders were wonderful people, really caring. Ideally I wanted to get a rescue dog however here in Edinburgh it is all Staffordshire Bull Terriers in the home and they would be too strong for me.

    Have a great Monday!
PS: Slept for 7 hours straight last night - are you all jealous? Until the other night I NEVER slept like this - its grrrreat! :P

I am green with envy. I think I managed about a couple of hours, nicely spread out. Pain, pred sweats and more pain are not the recipe for a good night. Pain-dullers did nothing either. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Pleased for you, tho. (At least it's a smile!) DD

    Hi Carola,

I think this sleep thing is horrible! Your tired all day and go to bed and then find all of a sudden your wired and awake. For me that's the drugs but the sleep patterns do seem to get messed up with this bone thing.

I hope you get a bit of a decent night and ....

A pup........ I am jealous now

    Leaving you a ((( ))) and a sleeping draft Cris x
