meloxicam

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a good day. Been to docs this afternoon, she has changed my meds, put me back on tramadol and changed me from diclofenac to meloxicam as my long awaited steroid injection didn't work (only 2nd time that's happened in 5 years) and I'm still having a bad flare. Hopefully this will help. I was just wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom about meloxicam, good or bad, I always like to know what I might be letting myself in for with a new med. 10 weeks ago I was on15mg mtx then went up to 17.5 for 6 weeks and now 20 for 4 weeks but it doesn't seem to have made any difference so am hoping for a meds review on 11th October. Just want to stop being in pain, my ribs are hurting now and when that hapeens I start feeling sick and if I don't get some relief I'll start being sick like I did in April, I don't want to go back there, I was in a bad place then.Hope you all have a good weekend

Hi Sue
I was on meloxicam.... which is an NSAID ...but unfortunately it didn't control the PA and it was stopped for that reason. sorry .
I hope the change from diclofenac to meloxicam proves to be good for you though. :!:

hi,
I was changed from diclofenic to meloxicam a few years ago , works about as good as diclofenic BUT is supposed to be a little more gentle on the stomach which I had had major trouble with, but I also take a large dose of stomach protector, I have had no problems with it and wish you well with it.
Luv
Joanna
