    we were all sitting watching the lightning, it was amazing watching all the clouds light up with wonderful colours

    How fabulous, Del. The most spectacular storm I ever saw was over the Bay of Naples one night. Every time the lightning lit up the sky, it illuminated the sea, with Mount Vesuvius in the background. It was very dramatic, and you could almost imagine the volcano erupting at the time when Pompeii was buried by ash.
