Hi Well just got in and made a cuppa.
Saw him this morning and as usual he laughed and said have you got your list LOL Although there wasnt a lot i could ask him.

More or less what he said was.....Kyphoscoliosis and slight spinal stenosis is what the MRI shows.....I asked him how many discs..{secretary said on the phone DISC singular} he said quite a few and he worked through the report and said from L2 to L5 is affected. He is referring me to "the best back specialist {his words} and he's a very nice man"...
I asked roughly how long it would take.....{how long is a piece of string LOL  } He said as far as he knew they were working on a couple of months {different hospital}.....he doesnt know what will happen.....but thinks thats the best way to go. He then said when that gets sorted I should be able to fit you in in about 6 weeks after that if you still need the hip done then but possibly you will be able to hang on a bit longer.
He then laughed and started printing and said you're going out with more than you came in with
He printed of my information....... In it it said Pregnancy status unknown!!!!!!!!!!!
He then printed off the MRI scan results...2 pages of results from her.
then printed an x ray of my L hip {unoperated one} and an X ray of my pelvis.
The poor nurse that was there sat amazed at this.....Oh yes just remembered something.....He asked if I had had a spinal block for THR I said yes....ye said that MIGHT have made my back worse!!

    I think thats it
Sorry you were so cramped ....I thought my pockets were big enough
    Love

Pregnancy status unknown - hmmmmm. :D

I hope you are feeling more settled in yourself now you know the full picture. What a mixture of things to deal with, there is much food for thought. I think you have taken a couple of steps forward now, so relax, re-group and we will fight on! I hope you enjoy your evening. DD

Think all in all a good appt there - nice man and glad you will be seeing another nice man too.

I hope for your sake it's very very soon.

Well that was a good appointment. Sounds as if he knows you so well. Lists me? :D:D
It would be good if you could have the option to delay the hip op if you feel that is what you want.
All you can do now is await for the other hosspital to contact you.So in the mean time try and get some me time in there.

    Hi
I'm planning to forget about this back thingy until i get an appointment....not point in worrying about it.
The ortho says about 6 weeks after back treatment {he didnt know what that was} he can get me in for hip op...not sure that I would want it as quick as that but we'll see.

My next step is to go and see the GP and ask for painkillers {apart from paracetamol} even if they are only to be used as needed.
I wasnt bothering because my hip operation was so close but things have changed now :?

    Hi Hileena :D

you are sounding much more settled about this  it was definitely worth seeing that lovely ortho again wasn't it :?: ...and to be referred to the 'best back man' .....who is also nice.... is reassuring.!

I see you are another peep who is able to put things to one side... 'compartmentalising' is a very useful self help strategy.

hope that when you see the doc you'll get your pain meds sorted out too. :!:

    (((hugs)))
