Trouble is I can't get about very good got crutches but my shoulders are not very good at the moment :cry:

Need help or ideas as to what to eat for snacks

I'm getting bigger by the hour :o:o My crutches seem to go in one direction the chocy and bicki cupboard, I then stuff my pockets with all I can carry and eat the lot, then sit there thinking what I can have next.

Fingers of carrot, celery, red and yellow pepper etc and make your own low-fat dips using low-fat mayo or natural yoghurt as a base. eg one flat teaspoon of a curry paste stirred into three generous teaspoons of yoghurt or mayo. One teaspoon of ketchup and three of mayo makes an emergency Marie Rose sauce, or ask the OH to buy you some low-fat hummus.

To avoid BTS (bored teeth syndrome) read, do some puzzles from a puzzle book, do some sketching, embroidery, anything to take your mind off the fact that you are not actually hungry, just bored. Set a timer for every 50 minutes or so, then allow yourself just one snack. Recuperation is a tough gig. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Well it depends what you want. Are you thinking of food say sandwiches

Cheese on toast. Bacon and egg toasted sadwiches, Cheese and cucmber sandwiches. Sausage sandwiches.

    Beans on toast.

I hope the op is a sucess and you soon recover from it. You be careful on those crutches

    love Trish xx

I stick grated raw beetroot into my salads as then I feel like I have eaten something for some reason.

When you reach out to eat a snack drink a couple of moufuls of water instead as sometimes that works.

I must admit i eat when bored but do not have a weight problem but i know for my hubby who is different it is boredom eating. Keep yourself busy with games, reading, sewing or knitting if your hands allow. Take up painting...the small paint by numbers can be quite cheap, get someone to look in the pound shop of things for you to do. Buy some sugar free sweets and only allow yourself so many a day as a treat. Sometimes the more you deny your body something the worse it makes it or have one treat a day. People have already said the healthy snacks red and yellow peppers are great alone with carrots cut into batons but keep the carrots in cold water in the fridge. Home made soup is also cheap to make and fills you up in between meals I hope all goes well for you and you get some ideas that help XXXX
