Well at long last the first known indigenous religion of these accent Isle's has at last been accepted as such and has been given charitable status, now I find it really odd that such a harmless old world religion has been banished shadows and regarded as corruptive by many main stream religious types, yet others (now I wont name them in case I cause problems as sadly it's not a free country these days) that have been imported quite recently get all the attention although they are far more disruptive why I'm not sure but regarding Druids and Pagans I think it's just that the puritans just can't stand to see other having fun!.
But to push Pagans and Druids into the margins and deride them as not even being a true religion is a serious case of discrimination yet one that has been allowed to carry on for far to long, another case in point is stone henge, the number one temple for the Druids here in England and yet a few years ago the Government of the day sent in the SPG to beat up and evict those who gathered there for the summer solstice, it's an odd way to go about things as no Druid or new age travel'er has never done me any harm. I still remember the battle of the bean field and even now I get angry when I think back at the level of violence metered out to these basically harmless people.
could you imagine it happening at any other temples or religious gatherings here?, the answer to that is a big fat no, and no right minded person would condone such actions but for some odd reason for far to long it was totally acceptable that Druids and pagans were treated as if they were either crazy, degenerate and or dangerous just because two days a year they wanted to gather at the henge to celebrate the solstice why I'm not sure.
Right spleen vented for now so it's time for another cup of T!!

The Olde Ways have always been derided............and treated as evil......
Blame the media......film industry.....
Even now.........people 'claim' to have Pagan beliefs.........
Just to be controversial.......To be silly.......
A giggle...
True believers aren't 'showy'...........
They believe that we are 'screwing up' the world.......nature.......
Everything has a right to be........

I always thought that pagans respected natural forces and nature. Am I on the right lines with that thinking? I must confess I don't know much about it. I dowsed once, many moons ago - and found water. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
