Looks as though we may find out a bit more news about disability benefits this afternoon at the Tory Party conference? Will we lose DLA mobility/care components by having both or parts of them integrated with other benefits or will they remain stand alone benefits or even removed completely?

Will the Tories decide that they have to let the country afford a less able portion of society? or will we have to line up in the dole queue ready for work?

I'm going to be a tea taster! do I get a digestive as well?

There is a news story on the BBC website all about it. There are no specific details but it looks like all the benefits are going to be grouped together into a single credit to make things simpler. It seems that DLA will be kept separate and will not be affected.

I'm rather confused as to what will happen to me. I am on SDA, you can't apply for it anymore but you stayed on it if you were already getting it. That has been lumped in with Incapacity Benefit but now ESA is taking over from that what will happen now?

Benefits need to be streamlined: there are far too many, it is so confusing and un-necessary. It is going to take some doing tho. DD

This has got me really worried. I'm going to the job centre tomorrow to try and get to the bottom of my benefits. I have no idea if I'll have a home in 6 months at this rate. Fingers crossed that I get back in to work so I can tell DWP where to stick it. At least if they change the system it MIGHT work better. All I know is it's not working very well for me as it is. :|
