Has everyone hung up their spades?
I vanish off site for a while and you have gone.
The good life
The show we had a good day. Not huge numbers, but enough to make it go well. I made courgette and carrot cake and someone donated some chocolate and beetroot cake and i handed it out
My hubby showed off his allotment veg and they were impressed with the size of it. The childrens centre made fruit smoothies and made paper green houses with the kids my hub demonstrated willow .weaving some snails.
He has been asked to do a work shop on basket making. I look like i am doing another veg show. they have said they will do it earlyer.
I have been asked on the focus group.
They are hopeing to do a reading garden/ allotement for the community to use. They also plan a monthly garden club at the library. Looks like they plan to use me on that. I cannot get over it ive gone from difficulty in finding free things to do to loads.
There will be so many clubs. I get let in the library on my book club day early before customers now. Im happy pinch me im sure im dreaming.x joanne

Thanks everyone we got given a bottle of whiskey and a card from the community development manager. Iam pleased it went well.
I have notice toni the thread and will add to it soon my poetry. Not been well a virus and high blood pressure i have to go to the doctors clinic tommorrow to see if its still high. laflunamide raises the blood pressure. They will drop my dose if to high they say they seem very uneasy about me going on tablets for high blood pressure. I think i will go that way though as the tablets suit me laflunamide. anyway thank for replying x joanne

Hi Joanne, Val, Cham, Toni and Elizabeth

Joanne, thanks for your news and glad the show was a success. Sounds as if it's all really snowballing and you are obviously really enjoying it all. The idea of the reading/community garden sounds fantastic and you are obviously a lady in demand!!!

Cham - garden now restocked with brandy, hunks and adonis's as per your request!

Nope still out and about, got beetroot garlic in and still some broccoli still growing it's now got a chance with the butterfly's all out of the way!, tomatoes are still producing and I have around 6 frozen pasta sauces all ready for winter, but all my chilli's are indoors although I did very well and had a bumber crop of Dorset Naga's this time by god are they hot though the great thing is you don't need that many to store due to their power and used right they have a really lovely deep warmth to them even the wife like them, oh lastly sweat peppers still going but they wont last much longer as most have been eaten.
All in all not a bad year.
