    Hi

Yes, I have the answer come over here and join us who cannot sleep. We roam the halls on here o in the cafe get a hot drink. Then we go to Night Owls.

People who wake do come on here I'm one of them usually take sleeping tablets as well.

Brenda some wakes in the night sometimes so do others. I have been like that so I know what it is like. Not funny is it?

All I can say is try having a hot bath, a nice hot chocci or Ovaltine listen to the radio only loud enough so you have to listen.

Failing that have you been given sleeping tablets. That might get you into a sleep pattern again.

Lie in bed and do your exercises, as long as you don't disturb Mrs Tonesp. Load some talking books onto an MP3 player and listen to a story or music, start writing a novel, create poetry, glug some water (or vino) and your pain dullers (usually works) but don't do too much walking around, you need to rest that new hip of yours! You have had a major op tonesp, and you were concious throughout. It will take some getting-over! DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi Tone
It will come, there must be so much to disturb you post op, I take it you are sleeping on your back, that doesn't help.
Hopefully when you get past your 6 to 8 weeks you will start to catch up.
Till then I would see if your GP can give you something.
Good luck, bet you can sit out in the sunshine...how nice is that

I posted this topic here as it was not really an arthritis problem All my life I've been a poor sleeper I think I inherited my mother's genes Thanks for your concern an hints. The operation hasn't helped but it's not just that :)
