H Marooned,
Sorry to hear about your daughter. If you're not happy with the consultant/hospital have a chat with your GP.
Your GP or the hospital should be able to refer your daughter to an Occupational Therapist for assessment to see if they can help.
Hope this helps.

It takes time for meds to show if they are going to work or not: I guess she has started the sulpha to support the meth, but more time may be needed to assess how effective the two drugs are. You yourselves may need to be more pro-active in chasing up blood test results etc, systems and routines for these things seem to vary so widely! Discuss any concerns you have regarding side effects with the consultant, let him know what practical difficulties your daughter is facing, he may be able to suggest a referral to OT, or perhaps social services: they installed new hand rails on the stairs for me. I hope it goes well - don't forget you may need to take an early morning urine specimen! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Sound advice definitely ask for a visit to the occupational therapist. They may even come out to the house and assess what needs to be done to help make life a bit easier and manageable.

Hi Marooned
I really do hope your daughter has a good appointment tomorrow, if you are happy when the results come through, you ask for a second opinion, there are lots of people on here that have.
Has for any help, put a post on the young peoples forum, hopefully someone on there will be able to help.
Good Luck
Let us know how she gets on.
Love
