    Hello,
I've been taking co-dydramol for 4yrs too. I get it on a repeat prescription and no-one has advised me to stop. Don't worry :wink:

    Hi deborahjane, :D

Yes I've been on co-dydramol 10/500mg long term without it causing me any problems.
I take two tabs four times a day as per docs instructions when needed. (I always take it with milk or with food as I find it irritates the stomach if I don't)

I alternate it with Tramadol depending on levels of pain... again under docs orders.

As long as you always stick to what is prescribed for you you won't go too far wrong.

    Hi deborahjane

I too like the others that have replied have been taking co-dydramol long term - 6 or 7 years now I think, maybe longer and mine is also on repeat.

I hope the replies you have received help put your mind at ease and if it helps with your back pain, then I'd stick with it.

    Take care

    Hi Deborahjane,

some good answers already given. The only thing I would say, is if you are concerned you could just check with your GP on your next visit.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
