Woo hoo! The Apprentice starts tonight.

Cannae wait.

Listening to all their office prat phrases such as blue sky thinking, moving forward, helicopter vision etc will only serve to confirm to me that when I get myself a bit better and able to return to work by the turn of the year that I WILL NOT be returning to my previous career.

Since having to give up my career in March this year I have shown that I do not need afterall an absurd amound of money to survive and the Apprentice Candidates will remind me week after week that I would break out in hives if I walked through an office door ever again being forced to use office prat speak.

PS: realised that I have posted a few topics re TV therefore I take this opportunity to say that I do read too! - honest! Think I will start a book thread

I shall listen out for all those comments. I had to give up my job a couple of years ago now so it will be interesting.
Your idea of a book thread is good. I've been trying to find time to read my autobiography of Jeremy Fry.

Karen doesn't do a bad job in Margaret's place at all - Mags had to go sometime, she did a good job and left on a high.

I'm glad Nick's still around, I love the way he squints :D

PS - Still trying to guess how short Lord Alan is!

er, well, I've never actually watched this! The snippetts I caught of it put me off completely, I just thought Alan Sugar was a real pain in the rear.

However, having just watched him being interviewed by Piers Morgan I have completely changed my mind... he came across as a real down to earth guy, with no airs or graces on him. So maybe I misjudged him?

    Jackie

p.s. Is it only me that thinks he bares a resemblance to the late Carry On actor Sid James?

Although I watch it I must say it's incredible that anyone wants to live their lives happily stabbing their fellow Earth dwellers for fun (note I abstained from using the term human as these people don't really qualify in my eyes), Suger is what he looks like a total shark devoid of any human compassion only existing on this Earth to hunt money day or night, the same goes for the other board members.
This one human trait is the source of most of our ills, as the old Cree Indian saying aimed at the white settlers goes and I quote.

Only after the last tree is cut down
only when the last fish has been caught
And only after the last deer killed
then and only then will the white man learn
    he can't eat money.

Sorry got on me high horse then!!
