alanmancunian! First out loud laugh of the day - thank you! I am considering going on a course - I know the basics but I am hopeless at the more fancy stuff, such as, well, most of it really. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi Alan,

Well done you for doing the computer course - just a shame you didn't get paid for all your assistance :)

My dad lives in Australia and went on a 12 week course earlier this year as he had very little idea of what a computer looked like let alone how to use it.

He absolutely loved it and came out being able to email, search the net, sort out his photographs and knows how to run the programmes his computer offers.

It has been a great boost to his confidence and whats more we are in contact frequently thanks to the joys of Skype. He has been recovering from cancer and it has been a good way off 'keeping his mind off things' and getting well.

I have attended a class for about a year now, and I really enjoy it. I was computer- phobic previously, so the class has opened up a whole new world to me, this site being a valued part of that. The star of my class is my neighbour, aged 86, who learns everything very quickly, and then instructs me when I get stuck.

Spatial awareness! Its a bit like that with computers, if you can remember where you are and where you need to get to then you're never lost, never in a panic and surfing is no problem?

    8)Its a grin, honest!
