Hi - I thought i would start a new thread as i am sooooo angry :x :x

I have just been for a meeting with a Pathways lady in the jobcenter and I explained to her how I felt about the medical on tuesday. she said she was not suprised and that i should appeal when it comes through especially as i felt the woman was no good :!: :!:

she said she would look on my notes to see if a decison had been made and it had :!: :!: how can it have gone throught the system of people looking at the notes in just 2 days :!: :?:

anyway she said i am on the work related group :?: what does this mean :?:

they are payiing me until my sick note runs out - but she said as soon as i get the letter then to read it and appeal. i told her that i dont want to stay on ESA but just asking for support until HOPEFULLY the hospital can sort me out :!: :!: I have been offered 4 hours work a week, so she said i culd stay on the lowest ESA and sitll do premitted work, but i need to sort that out when the letter comes through :!: :!:

And she told me that she had someone in this morning who had beeen in hospital for a hip operation, had rung ESA to say she couldnt make her medical because she was in hospital and they told her she had to be there or her money would be stopped :!: :!:

there was another person ther who had fallen over and had been put into hospial in a coma so ESA had stopped his money as he had not made the medical :!: :!:

where is the justice in this world :!: :!: :cry::cry: :x :x

now going to go and cry - stress has made pain worst :cry:

I have read your mesage and in all honesty dont think can say anything to help you. Can i say in the best meant intentionally way that youre getting yourself into a knot emotionally here and while its hard not to get like that, please try not to...
Maybe others can help here...Could you maybe write to your local MP for their support? Can you get in touch with legal aid type solicitor? I think one or the both may be able to help and dont think JC person really did you any favours telling you those stories this morning.....

    Good luck...

    Hi
this sounds nice and confusing!! :? Hope you get it sorted.
When I had my THR I was asked to attend for a medical on the day of my surgery. When I rang them they said, `can you come a week later?` I`m sure you can imagine my reply!! I complained to ESA and they said the medicals are run by another company (atos??) and deferred the medical. When the next date eventually came through I had a date to return to work, so they said don`t bother. I received ESA til I returned to work it was not stopped becuase I did not attend medical. Try to find out more information, don`t just take what was said at jobcentre as gospel.
Hopefully someone more knowledgable will come on soon

Have a cry and let it all out. It is the best way. The stress has to be released and that is as good a way as any. Go back and read my earlier reply on another thread - you seemed to like it judging by the hug! Incompetent jobsworths trying to administer a clumsy, mechanical system is a recipe for upset. Be kind to yourself, we're behind you all the way. DD

If you feel like crying then sit down and have a bubble for a wee while. Important to let go of all this stress as much as you can.

Search the website for the ATOS ESA MEDICAL threads as there are quite a few of us that have gone through them. You will find some useful info.

But for now, sit down with a cuppa and relax as much as you can.

    Hi Louise

I am on IB but got called to the job centre for a "work focussed interview". The first time I did attend but the next time they sent me an appointment to go in and see them I was physically not able to go. Phoned them up and they said that if I didnt go my IB would be stopped. I said "fine, so when will you arrange for the taxi to collect me and bring me back home again". She then decided that if I was physically unable to attend then we could do the interview on the phone. Ok, so I hung up and she called me back, the whole "interview" took 12 minutes. Everythings ok till next recall, which I will be completing on the phone again. Your GP can back you up with the fact that you are not physically able to go, and there is no way they can force you. They will threaten to stop any payments you receive but the interview can be completed on the phone. Hope everything goes well for you.

    Regards
    Trisha

    Hi Louise

I agree wholeheartedly with Sue's comment above!

I can't think of anything helpful to say except that we are all behind you, and that I am thinking of you.

    Love Tilly xxx

Hi - thanks for support = can feel you are there with me :!: :!:
Have just rung ATOS - asked them how long it takes for a decision to be made.

Man said that the report is sent end of day and then they look at all the reports and then make a decision :!: He said about 1 week - 2 weeks :!: :!:

ao i asked him how come mine was done in less than 2 days :?:

oh he says - thats nothing to do with us - you will have to ring the benifits office to find that out :!: talk about passing the buck :!:

will let you all know what happens when letter arrives :!:

Louise - hugs and love to you all - thank you xxx

    Louise

Re your decision getting made in less than 2 days...Well mine was on a Wednesday morning and by Saturday morning I had the letter in the post so dont go thinking youre the only one to get decision fast.....Also the man from ATOS was correct and not passing the buck saying you had to call benefits people...ATOS do the medical but if you like they are sub contracted by the DWP, their part is simply to do medical, not talk to clients re ins and outs of medical info.....Im on your side but just wished to clarify that up...

    FIGHT IT!!!

    Hi Louise,

I kinda think they have jumped the gun telling you this one. I sort of also think till you have it official it might not be right so just hang in there till you get the letter.

    Then....

    You fight.....

I don't know about this kind of stuff at all but just leaving you a ((((( ))))) and a whole heap of understanding. Cris xx
