DLA/ATOS Update

As you are aware I sent a number of lettes to various people complaining about DLA/ATOS. My latest updated is:
DWP - passed it over to ATOS, didn't address any of my other issues
ATOS - I have now received a 4 page contradictory latter, which explains nothing
MP - Haven't had the curtesy of a response
Minister for Disabled - Haven't had the curtesy of a response
I am now left wondering what my next step is? I know I will not be awarded DLA but I would like someone to take my questions seriously. The only option I can see is to hire a solicitor, which will be expensive.
Also, I asked for the written report from the Tribunal. I was told I had 28 days to appeal but I had to have his written report. Of course this took 5 weeks to come through.
I want answers but seem to have run out of options??

Hi Anne
This is a really difficult situation and to be honest, I am not really sure what you can do. But wanted to reply to send you strength and hugs as it sounds like you need it.
Did you appeal the decision? I am not sure from your post. Surely that was not possible if they did not send the report on time - surely you need to complain about this.
I think you need to look for a organisation who can help you make a complaint.
Sorry - I know I have not been much help - but thinking of you

Fayann,
I had appealed & been to the Tribunal the final step would be the Upper Tribunal, which I never got the notes on time for.
All I want now are my questions answered. But, it seems to be no-one wants to answer these. Previously I had tried the various charities for help with the Tribunal but none of them were willing to help. I do believe I have some legal issues that could be addressed but I don't know what the point is anymore?

Hi did you write to your MP and the Minister or did you e-mail them? I e-mailed my MP and got and immediate reply from his sec saying that he would look into the matter (ATOS and medical complaint), then a few weeks later, I had a letter on posh notepaper, saying he had passed on my complaint to the Minister, (it was the labour Gov,bet conservative MP). The letter was sympathetic letter and seemed to agree with the opinion I had voiced. Mind you that was a few months before the General Election!
I'd not give up on getting a reply, as the conforance season and the change of Government might have slowed things down. It might be worth contacting your MP again. It may not change anything for you now, but in the long run it might help and I think it might make you feel a bit better to do something positive, it gives you back a feeling of power. I know it did for me!!! Love Sue xx0 -
How about contacting your local paper? Name and shame those involved. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

If an MP can't be bothered to answer a complaint then go to his head of political party and forward the same message, at the end of the day send a letter to our Prime Minister, he's in charge and the 'buck' should stop there.
Service is sadly lacking in the UK, whoever serves us should remember how they got the job.

Anne
you have to keep on. MP - try him again - mine didn't receive my letter - so this can happen.
I like the idea of papers (DD) and also Airwave's idea of going higher even up to the PM
Don't give up.
There are some solicitors who do do pro bono aren't there?
