Oh bloody great rub it in why don't you, there I am nailed me **** to a fixed rate as I could see the downturn coming and well remember the last time we had a fixed rate that went up to 15% and now this time it's gone the other bloody way, GRRRRRRR!!.

Don't wish your life away, only when you are in or nearing your sixties do you finally get mortgage free unless you receive a windfall from somewhere or other

Well done Delboy. Is that 25 years of stress and worry over? Dont rely too much on the endowments. Mine are out next year (no Im not taking Rehab on an all expenses trip to somewhere hot) but they have been shrinking in value every flippin year.

Great news, Del :!: It's a good feeling when the house is paid for.
It's funny to think that our first house cost £3,500. That was for a brand-new three bedroomed detached house, but it was another £200 for a garage, so we couldn't afford that. Showing my age now :!: :shock: :shock:0 -
