Absolutely. One cannot rely on people doing their jobs adequately, so take any notes you have about symptoms, what makes things worse/better, strategies you have for coping, any meds that you are on etc etc etc. It all helps to give as full a picture of you as possible. Let us know how you get on! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi
That is such good news, at least things will be clearer after the scan.
You write down everything that you can think of, it surprising what we forget once we get to see a consultant.
Good Luck with it , and let us know how it goes.

Well done you!!
good luck for the appt. I back DD up and think - write everything down that you think MIGHT be relevant.

Hi Em,
I would take as much info as you can though the clinical examination can often mean its not needed.
Mine comes from vertigo like I said and that's the neck..... I remember you saying it might be soft or hard tissue with yours and with a bit of luck if you get nothing else you will get clarification on which it is.
Good luck and if needed w do half decent pocket duties. Cris x0 -
Hello scoobiedoo, I hope things are as well with you as they can be. Have you completed your list or are you still adding things? I hope it all goes well tomorrow and that they are kind to you! ie don't pull you about too much! Let us know how it goes, won't you? Is anyone able to go with you for moral support? thanks everyone..appt went well..have an mri scan on 2nd nov..although physio not sure it will show much but need to rule out nerve root/disc problem.. and see whats going on with artery..She examined my neck..and could see how tight it was on trying to bend forward..still allot of stiffness and pain/dizyness.. she also said i have some weakness in my right arm(am right handed) and my shoulders are very tight and stiff..very painful when she was examing them..also alterted sensation in hands/fingers//didnt feel all that good when I got there..nausea had come on but luckily had my meds with me.. so who knows..she said they may want to do nerve conduction tests too..and it may be that freewheeling in the chair is causing the problems..even though I have my powertrike back now to walk my dogs..still having problems..even after wheeling for a short time. She also suggested review of meds..and poss referal to pain clinic. Once she has scans shell call me back in..and we will take it from there. She asked if i was a bit diwn..i said frustrated and a little low as its affecting me dialy now and no sign of it going away as yet..:_)

I think that sounds like a positive appointment, scoobie. They are checking and investigating, and if you can get a referral to a pain clinic then that is a good thing. I bet you were tired after you got in yesterday - these things do take it out of one, don't they? I hope you are feeling OK today, you must be so tired and frustrated with it all, but at least things are being taken care of now. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches?
