1 hour later and i feel like they have really listened to me and believe how much pain i really am in!
I have some patches to stop the pain signals and some different pain killers that one side affect is weight loss - i think i even gave the doctor the thumbs up at that!!! LOL

he even talked about other things to try and i have bought a tens machine!

i feel soooooooooo positive for the first time in about two years!! woop woop
grinning from ear to ear!

    Wow Gemma,

what a positive appointment. Just goes to show what a difference it makes when we are listened too and our pain is believed. SOunds like with the pain clinic peeps on your side - things are looking up!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    thanks guys
to answer a few questions - I went to gp after i was told i was too young for hip replacement, i was devestated and angry was probably rude to her saying "what are you going to do for me?" and so she tried different drug combinations and then refered me to the clinic.

I must say the pain patch thing works but i pay for it when i take it off so not grinning for ear to ear more grimacing at the moment, it does say it takes 4 weeks for the full affect!! so fingers crossed. but it does make a difference when people believe you and take action!!

    Gxx
