Hi Elaine
I'm glad you treated yourself.. a little, and what good taste your dad has in whiskey!.. good on you dad
I think sol would have looked lovely in mini denims... who's woddy then? you been holding out on us with another beany???
I know exactly what you mean about wanting / needing an op but being scared to have it done. I don't know of anyone who wouldn't be anxious about it too Elaine.
I've had an elbow op done (radial head excision) by nerve block and would have had my TWR done by block too of they'd let me rather than GA. I don't suppose they'll let me have a TKR by spinal block as I've had back surgery previously.Sorry I'm waffling.!
Sometimes all we can do is trust in the surgeon's judgement of what is best for us individually.
Put up a topic about it Elaine so's you can gather more info from other people's experiences... it might help??

ps... good luck Monday.. and hope you have lovely time in Inverness. :!:0 -
Hi Iris
Well i had promised my dad some Glayva for taking me to Wigan but it had been back up at about £18 till recently found it on offer at Morrisons for £13...I do like a saving me.....No Sol really is too tiny, i can hold him in my hand and he used to have his original beany tag on till dad kept fiddling with it and eventually it fell off!!! Woody is my other frog, and i also have a wrinkly dog called Mutt who has been with me for my second loose body removal and he nearly got hoovered up on the ward....Im afraid I have these traits, still like an animal in bed with me...They both have shorts bought in the M & S sale with england stiched on them and mum even cut a hole in the bum for Mutt's tail and get this for further loopyness...He has a t-shirt which says he is a rather long sausage dog...LOL!!Shall say no more before everyone think im la la!!!
I am really frightened of op, really but I need it...I hear everyone say im healthy and such but i see perfectly healthy people like dad go in for surgery and become ill....I swear if hadnt experienced him last year may have been okay. He also swears that for his TKR he had epidural and for THR he didnt but he says no way did they inject his spine the way they did for TKR so that dont make snese to me?
I wont put up a post re epidurals, dad says im reading too much, best to worry about it when have surgery date...
Looking forward to trip up north but will be colder there mind....Also one of nieces has rabbits so that will set off my autoimmune disease worse but hey...Also will be bad with leg, re being stiff after sitting so long...be a pain...
You havent waffled, do you ever??? Good to correspond with you...
