Did you watch the David Tennant drama :?: I found it difficult to follow the dialogue as a lot of it was rather mumbled, and the Scottish accent made it worse.
But it's worth watching just to see David Tennant :!:0 -
Joan there's a program on tonight on BBC 2 at 9 about space looks like it could be worth a look.0

Thanks Mell. I will watch it.
Quoting from the programme info
Horizon takes the ultimate trip into the unknown, to explore a dizzying world of cosmic bounces, rips and multiple universes, and finds out what happened before the big bang.
Cosmic bounces :?: Rips :?: Multiple universes :?: I haven't got a clue, but hopefully all will be explained.0 -

We thought Sunday's offerings were dull in the extreme, so resorted to The West Wing. Last night, however, University Challenge, followed by Only Connect followed by Mark Gatiss on the history of horror - smashing! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh Joan....
Now come on, you are actually replying to someone who was born in scotland....I moved to england in 1979 and it took until about 1984 till the kids round here would stop teasing me, in fact i thumped one silly girl as had anough one day when was about 12...Quite funny now thinking back she went off bawling, sent her parents round and mine said well she desrved it....Ha....I mean ive watched Tennant in lots of things and never found him a bad speaker......But you must have known where it was set in?
So do you not understand other scots then too.....?I have yet to watch it on i-player and dont particularly am not overly keen on the woman in it who was in corrie...
Personally i can pick up most accents but i find the geordies and scousers hard but only in the fact that they speak so fast that they lose me....Its often the case if someone slows down then can pick up the conversation........
