CRP stand for C-reactive protein and is a mark of how much inflammation is in your blood. It can be raised in diseases that cause inflammation or in response to other illnesses and injuries. It might be that the broken bone has caused it to rise. You should ask your doctor about the result and what they want to do about it.

CRPand ESR are measures of inflammation. Ideal figures are between 0-10, anything higher indicates inflammation. Everyone's definitions of high vary: at my worst (as recorded in my meth booklets) they have been 104 and 79 respectively, but they have both been considerably higher prior to treatment. I hope this helps. DD

PS. I suspect you have broken your 5th metatarsal, hence possible swelling and inflammation, hence raised figures. Depending upon what sort of arthritis you have (and as such what drugs) it may well drop as you heal.
