So far so good little bit of nausea. How do you stop the fitful sleeps though.

Hi issy
No wonder you're feeling low and let down  to be told that the last rheummy hasn't been treating your RA is shocking.
I agree with the good advice you've already been given.... speak to your doc about the rheummy's expectations of steroid injections being given at the start of a flare.
If you get an IM injection rather than a joint injection then that surely would be easy to administer? and any of the docs or the practice nurse could do it.
Seems that there needs to be better communication between doc and rheummy dept so that you're not being left without treatment!
I inject Mtx too... and it's a good option if your stomach isn't liking the increase!! it's also easier absorbed and more effective so I've been told by my docs.
Good luck with the new meds combination..... and if the grand plan of steroid injections doesn't become a reality then get straight back on to the rheummy's secretary and ask to speak to him to get it sorted out, or a new plan agreed on.
We're supposed to be partners with our docs and rheummys in deciding treatment options.... not left floundering when things don't work out!

Hi Issy
Glad increase hasn't made you feel too bad so far - or hadn't last time you posted. Hope that is still the case.
Thinking of you.
