Hi all,
hope evryone has had a good day. I've not been too bad myself except for the tiredness, even though I'm sleeping I feel as though I haven't, even when I first get up in the morning.
When you have fibro do you have flare ups in the same way as with RA or is it more a case of good days and bad days. I can't get an aapointment at docs till next Friday unless I'm willing to take one with any doc and as I don't rate some of them I'm willing to wait, hopefully he'll be able to give me some info, he's usually pretty good, but I still think the best place to get info (apart from medical stuff and meds) is from the forum, cos no matter how good a doctor is he's not living it. Sorry to waffle on, I think it's the fibro fog!!!!

Hi Sue,
I think it does and also he good and bad days are there as well. I don't know as I have got it cus I have my head in the sand over any more conditions but certainly I would say it can fare.
I really wonder if you could get a double appointment with your gp and actually get a chance to get to ask about all of this? I don' know if they do double appointment but someone should go through it all with you cus its not fair that they haven't.
I hope you get a good night and tomorrow will be a lot better for you. Cris x0 -
Hi Sue,
I have fibro aswell as OA and i think it flares , everyday is like waking when youve not slept and got the flu without the runny nose. Then it kicks in with more pains and stiffness and weariness
You should be able to get a double app if you havn't seen them about the fibro it may be worth seeing any of them to see what they have to say about it . 2nd opinion and all that. Forums are good for advice have you looked on the fibro one?
Take it easy

although ive only recent had the confirmation of fibro, ive been suffering for nearly a year, plus i have full body OA and to be extremely honest, i havent had a 'good' day in ages everyday i wake up feeling tired and in pain, i feel groggy and cant do anything for myself anymore. the symptoms of the fibro, muscle pains and grogginess together with the restrictions of the OA and the pain in my joints means im pretty much on a permanent flare...
the last time i felt even remotely normal was during the hot sunny weather. since the cooler days/nights have started to come in, im in a terrible way but everyone is different. some may feel it more than others. I have OA from neck to toes, its in every joint so the pain is always there.
you've probably been given the best advice, talking to your doctor and sufferers on here who have suffered for longer than me. i hope you get some answers. the only thing ive been told by any doctor is to make sure i do the gentle exercises to keep my muscles strong.
gentle hugs and i hope you get some answers soon x0 -
Hi Sue
Sorry I can't help with this as I don't have fibro.
From what you and others have said it must be so hard having a dual diagnosis with fibro... and I just wanted to wish you well for your next appointment and hope that the doc will make time to listen to how you are feeling.
sorry dippy that you're having a bad time just now.
((((hugs)))) for both of you.
