I'm usually very stoic and don't complain about my pain.. but this is just getting me down.. from the nodes in my fingers to my thumbs and wrists now my elbows want to join in... every single movement is hurting... vent vent vent..

Now thats off my chest I'll go and try to peel the veg for Sunday lunch.... I don't want to be moaning when my family visit

Hi Tanith, I agree with Val, either get the family to help with the veg or send out for frozen. They are coming to see you after all, and they will not know that you are not up for veg peeling unless you tell them. Dose up on meds and apply those wheatie bags.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Funny just occasionally you just get to the end of your tether with the pain..

Oh dear, it is awful when the ongoing pains catches you like this, isn't it?

Try to rest as much as possible and hopefully the full on pain will subside very soon.

You did the right thing by coming onto the forum to voice your frustration of it.

    Heal soon.

    Hi Tanith,

Are the pains easing a little now? It’s good to vent we all need to let off steam now and then. My hubby has just done our veg for tonight. I cannot cope with swede, hard as rock to cut into. :? Have their uses after all, bless them.

Keep warm and hope the evening is a more comfortable one for you.

    Oh Tanith Chick :(

I am so so sorry you are in such pain. Sorry I didn't see you earlier I am whizzing about a lot today. This sounds really awful and i know you are usually a 'coper' - you still are actually :)

I hope you sleep well tonight and that tomorrow brings a reprieve to your pain.

    Hi Tanith

Hope you are feeling better now than you were earlier on. So sorry you were in so much pain with your arms etc. No matter how well you cope it really does get too much sometimes doesn't it? You have all my sympathy and I am thinking of you.

Thanks everyone for your support , I'm much better now , even managed a swim this morning ..
I've been busy with family stuff this last 2 days amazing how they always come back to Mum when there is a crisis... at least thats something I can help with... one of my grandsons is really struggling in High School and we just can't get to the bottom of it.. it seems whenever he has regular contact with his absent father his behaviour at school takes a real nosedive.. but stopping contact causes one huge row , so we have a dilemma...

But thanks anyway I know I will always get positive feedback when I come here...
