Sorry to mention the C word so early but has anybody any good suggestions of books for Christmas?. OH mum likes reading, usually mysteries so has anybody read any good ones lately?

Lindalegs mentioned a book last year that seemed very well rated- elephants was in the title. Maybe somebody can remember what it was called?

Many thanks
Elizabeth

The girl with the dragon tattoo series are very addictive
I've heard good things about a book called The Kremlin's Geordie Spy which will be my present to myself this year
They are the only ones that spring to mind but I will have a think and get back to you

    Hi Elizabeth,

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. It remains the best book I've ever read. I haven't met anyone who hasn't enjoyed it.

If she likes mysteries you could try Katherine Hall Page or Ann Grainger?

    Thank you for your suggestions.
I have been mega organised and bought the elephants book. As it has been so highly recommended I am sure she will like it. Just hope she hasn't already read it!

    Hi Sue,

You can get a Kindle edition from Amazon and it's actually on offer for £4.73 at the moment. My eReader is a Sony and I've looked on Waterstones and it's only available in paperback or hardback.
