Hi All
The other day i was contributing to Lulu's post re prescription charges. The thing I was commenting on was about people with thyroid porbs getting free prescriptions, I thought a lot of other illnesses applied too but didnt.
Anyhow, I dont object paying for mine at all, I have a pre prescrition payment card. When went to Wrightington was told by my sis could apply for travel costs as its a 90mile round trip. So i took my letter from DWP and got told I hadnt made enough tax contributions to qualify. Lady at hosp was lovely and gave me two forms, told me to apply anyhow it cant hurt? So i did and since then I have been awarded more benefit as im one of the ones who they say has been put in capability for work category with jobcentre's supposed help (yeah right)......This morning letter falls through letterbox, its a form HC2, it now say I can get free prescriptions, dental, sight tests, wigs, contact lenses or glasses voucher.....I mean all I wanted really were petrol for journey to Wigan as Ive had to seek a second opinion....
So im coming on here being honest, this has come too easy, there is peoplpe who are worse off than me who needs this more than me. I would pay happily but while govenment are making cuts, etc why are they making this so easy? This is what i mean about me being too honest for me own good, maybe some government person will see me on here now...OOOPPSS!!!
