Night bosh, yes I have rather lowered the tone of the cafe and brought standards down haven't I 😳😂 sorry about that won't happen again. The best I can do on the custard theme tonight is an article called 'custard with everything', sadly not a suggestion but a piece about Birmingham's Custard Factory Quarter (now an arty hub for businesses shops music etc, for those not of the Midlands). Morning Toady another dry day here in the Midlands so yes more watering. I do have an outside tap although it was out of action due to my dearest darling husband attaching a stupid hose which I couldn't work. I tend to fill watering cans myself (I have 4) and let them warm a little in the sun before watering everything in a couple of goes it is a lot isn't it? I did my baskets yesterday so am gradually getting on top of things outside.

Elec and gas meter changed gosh Paul is silly it's a smart meter!!!! Grrr I didn't want one. There are other ways to ensure you get paid for the electricity which goes from the solar panels to the grid 😠I suppose it's done now anyway.

Elfie does try to help with watering I'll see if he's outside today so you can see him there. My lupins are flowering too will try to get some pics. Aha this one I took when the cars (2 are Paul's of course) and Penelope moved away from the meter man yesterday out of the garage.

Doesn't the wisteria look amazing? and next door too with the Church behind so pretty.

Loanda is up and about, all be it very slowly.

Yes, Sproglette is being absolutely brilliantly behaved IF it is just me, as soon as it’s Loanda as well he is a nightmare. But then he is ALWAYS a little angel for me when I have him. He was hillarious in the car on the way back to my house yesterday. He has a great soh. He has been told off at skool for fighting several times recently so I told him to act like a footballer getting fouled. Make an absolute massive thing if someone is nasty to him rather than retaliating. So we were practising on the way home as much as you can sitting in a car but it was so funny. Throwing his arms up in the air and crying out in pain then saying ‘he punched me he punched me ahhhhh it really hurts, why did you do that aaaahhhhh you're sposed to have kind hands here, ow ow ow ow it really hurts’ etc etc. was so funny.
will update on how it goes.

I have took the lecture from the staff for the last time about him not having kind hands. Next time it will be, “ well tou have him here more thanI have him at home. So either the other kid deserves what ever Sucré is dishing out, or you aren’t doing your job properly keeping them under control.
i was bullied at skool until I realised that having the courage to fight back meant no more bullying so Sucré has been told to stick up for himself but not to start trouble.

Hi all 👋 nice and quiet here today, all going well even al fresco early so been & gone 👍️.

Should be garden for me a bit later/cooler frog, have already done some watering though. Well done getting on top of yours, the good old warmed watering can 😊 two for me and the odd jugful 😀. Lovely photos everything looks super 😍 absolutely pretty as a picture, yes the wisteria and the setting are gorgeous. I must take some little snaps too or things will come & go. Oh not the smart meter of doom 🙄 and no right of veto 😬 I am fighting to the last, I'm not in your position but they will get me too in the end 😕 short of fighting them off with a pitchfork. Ugh. Not much else going on here just bits & bobs of chores, sorting jumpers out - I know charities won't thank you for them as much as in winter but doing it in summer when you recoil at the thought of putting one on is a good way to help me part with them 👍️. Not sure about the weekend but just want to get the most of the weather to have a change and the odd trip out, it's very stultifying otherwise 😴. Wet for the bank hol weekend I think. Hi bosh, well done getting to group in this it's certainly toasty 😬 I was looking in al fresco I can never quite get over that they have an ice cube department, and then 'all ice cubes / new in ice cubes' etc, don't know what my grandparents would say about people paying for ice 🤷‍♀️. Anyway how was everybody, that was there today, at group? Ok I hope. The phantom neighbour is in fine door-banging form today but the grapevine says they may be going on hols so I will get some peace, hurrah 😀. Glad your mum is ok, catch up again soon 👍️ xx

My mum was a teacher, and at my primary school. I put a few of my colleagues straight on how hard they work when they used to moan about teachers having long school holidays. Mum was always doing school stuff in the holidays.
sometimes when she is bad now with the dementia i start talking about the old school times and her colleagues and it really brightens here up

Gosh no Keef not for worlds would I have been a teacher, well not that they would have me either. Just meaning I wouldn't thank you to be in a school environment in any capacity these days, didn't like it when I was a pupil (many moons ago), v glad to get out and not look back. If it suits you and you are cut out for it of course that's great 👍️ but modern life the internet etc have definitely chucked in another whole set of stuff for young people to deal with. You'd hope the whole thing about teachers and cushy working patterns & long school holidays would die a death one day 🙄 all nonsense. Glad to hear talking about it with your mum stirs a response 😊. Morning Skinny Keef I hope you don't mind me saying, but l cannot believe how much brighter you are since your diagnosis. I mean you were so low and in so much pain. Don't get me wrong you still have bad days like we all do, but knowing the cause maybe and being believed and helped has been so positive. Look at you running round after Sproglette and Anda I am so pleased. Hope she's strong enough to go back to work though.

Great advice to deal with school trouble. We don't want him bullied absolutely not but neither do we want him told off (nor you for that matter) for not having kind hands. Let's see if this plan works out.

People who think teachers have it easy aren't teachers. They look at the children being off for 12 weeks and only being in 9 till 4, but not the hours of preparation they have to do. Must be so frustrating. Good your Mum still enjoys talking about her time teaching bless her.

Hi Toni, thanks for saying I am better these days, it’s almost as if having the firm diagnosis (as if what I already had wasn’t enuff) is justifying the times I have to give in to the pain and do nothing, so I think I am a bit more positive these days, but thanks for noticing 👍🙏

No lecture yesterday when picking up sproglette Toady. He invoked the footballers’ role play for the first time and it had the desired effect 😂😂😂 Although the staff member who took him in this morning wasn’t her normal happy self, must be an off day all round as we had a bad morning here as well, he did NOT want to go back to getting himself washed and dressed after daddad had been helping him whilst Anda ill. Lol. I do spoil him rotten and pamper him. One of his fav possessions is the vintage stop watch I got him from flea bay, and had repaired. It was for timing his trains but we do a ‘speed dress’ where i get him dressed as quick as possible and we time it, something I came up with for the days he was awkward and didn’t want to get dressed, he won’t do it with Anda and I didn’t feel good ( MTX yesterday a day late coz i forgot) so I was moping about being grumpy. So was a difficult morning. And I have a very short fuse these days. Not helped by the fact Anda had double locked the front door, I thought I had unlocked it and went to open it in a hurry and hurt my wrist as it didn’t open and I ended up swearing at the door which Sucré really hates, like I said difficult morning. He is used to me by now though.

How many apples Reshmi, that would make me so angry. Are we due another poem yet please????

Toni, does your husband (I want to call him Paul but not sure I have that correct) still have his vintage car, TR6 wasn’t it? If so what oil does he use in it? I recently found out that the modern oils have a lot of stuff missing these days that use to be good for engine life but bad for emissions and or the environment so they don’t put them in any more. Some oils are for ‘racing’ so they still have the good stuff in that vintage cars especially need. Gear oils even more so. Just me being a bit of a nerd.
