Hi everyone,
I have a few questions for you guys...
For a long time I've been dealing with pain issues...I've been having migraines for a darn long time and I have Hidradenitis Suppurativa in very painful places...
Anyways, more recently I've been fighting the pain in my elbows, lower back and my knees...it's been getting worse as when I would stretch they'd crack and that relieved my pain for a while. Now the pain is even more constant as even stretching doesn't help and my back is killing me as well as my elbows...
Does abyone experience something similar?
Do any of you have have any tips on how to talk to my GP about it, since I really don't like to moan to people but I know I would regret not talking about it with him
Thanks everyone for all the help and experience you've shared with me so far

I can't help much, I'm afraid sunnyhours, but one thing we do recommend on here is writing it down as a list: list where, when and how strong the pain is, what triggers it (if you know) and what eases it (or was easing it). Listing the details gives you time to think it all thro and means you won't forget to mention something to the doc when you see him. Let us know how you get on, please. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi
You've done a very good job explaining your condtion to us..... and I'm sure you'll manage to explain things to your doctor.
Make an appointment to see your GP soon. Don't worry - you're just explaining your medical problem and I wouldn't call that moaning.
Take care.

Hi Sunny, I just wanted to say that I too get relief from my OA in my spine and knees when they do eventually crack, it takes some effort on my part sometimes.... I get a kind of pressure pain that builds up, and as soon as I crack it I get some relief, not that it lasts too long but any is better than none eh?
Hope your GP understands when you explain..

I support DD here too - I think you've explained it really well and you should write it down and read it out to him then he can assk any relevant questions.
Good luck and - make that appt

Yes of course I'll make it to my appointment, it's tomorrow at 10:30...I don't know what time that would be for you guys lol
I'll keep you guys updated...
Btw I was thinking of calling the helpline but apparently it's only free for uk residents, and it appears there's no American or Canadian helpline...isn't it kinda weird?0 -
