....at my Rheumy visit today. Also have severe tendonitis in heels and elbows.......have been referred to Podiatry (elbows?).
A good appointment really, nothing I wasn't expecting. No new meds atm as I'm having an issue with the MTX and mouth ulcers/mouth soreness. I need dental work done, which I currently can't face, so the MTX is being dropped to 20mg weekly in the hope that they will clear up enough.........I have enough mouth washes etc to stock a chemist's and none of them seem to work.
Other meds rearranged somewhat and I will see him again in the New Year for a review. Oh, I'm told the doc's will get a slap on the wrist as they put me on bi-monthly bloods when he had told them to keep me on monthly tests!

Hello Annie
Sorry to hear you've just been diagnosed, I was too 4 weeks ago. With regard to the MTX I used to have a lot of problems with sore mouth, ulcers etc. Between the doctor and me we've realised the only way to keep it at bay is to take folic acid every day except on MTX day, so I take 1, 5mg 6 times a week and I don't very often have a problem now. I find the difflam mouthwash works best for me, corsodyl is too strong. Hope this helps in some way.

Hi Annie,
I am sorry I missed your pockets thread but I hope you know Rowan and I automatically are in them.
I am sorry there is something else and so hope the tendinitis goes soon. Do they treat that at all? I guess they do exercises and manipulation? Sorry I am rambling.....
Leaving you a giant smelly foal infested ((((((((((((((((((( ))))))))))))))))))) and a huge hope that your mouth will heal up and you will feel much better. Love Cris xx0 -
Oh annie, it's tough. I am so sorry, I haven't really taken it all in as under the cosh myself. Will catch up properly on Friday, forums willing! Take care. Thinking of you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Annie, things sound tough at the moment. I hope you can get your mouth ulcers cleared up - ouch! Tendiitis sounds painful too.
Hope things settle down soon.

Hi annie
Hope you are quite well today and that the mouth ulcers are not too painful. I hope the lower dose of mtx helps to get rid of them.
Sending hugs ((((()))))

Sorry to hear you've got FM as well as everything else Annie. Have they offered to put you on anything specifically for it like Lyrica or Amitriptyline?
I hope the reduced dose of MX helps with the mouth ulcers. Are you taking folic acid? might it be worth increasing it?
Hope things get on the up for you soon, meanwhile big hugs from me.

Oh Annie, I really feel for you. I especially understand the mouth ulcer pain. How much folic acid are you on? I was only on it once a week and now I take it 6 days a week. I'm sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with FM too.

Hi annie
Good to see you
Not good the rest of it though....mouth ulcers are vile and dentists are scary
I avoid them at all cost. No serioulsy i do go and I hope the reduction in mtx helps solve the ulcer issues.
Podiatry - is that for your feet? the tendonitis business? Hope it gets sorted very soon.
Love

Thank you for all your good wishes, I'm currently having a problem finding the right text colour.
To answer a few of the questions - I'm already on Amytrip, Rita - he put me on it last time and it has helped a lot, he's now put up the dose, which hopefully will help more once I get used to it.
I take folic acid 1 x 5 days a week but that's because I take a split dose of the MTX. Will just wait and see how it goes, Princess.......I might revert back to once a week so that I can take it 6 days.
Toni, I am terrified of dentists........but have found one who specialises in 'nervous patients'. I'm hoping he can help one who sits there shaking like a jelly - the last one had a job because I couldn't keep still! I need to go before I get toothache, though........have lost a filling.
Thanks again
