Aaaarrrggghhhhh!

had an ESA medical a week ago, the doc was lovely and said he agreed I am so not able to work, wow I thought, this makes a change. I have had 3 medicals now all 6 months apart!

So today the letter plops through the door.

I have been put on the work focused group!

I cant walk, I am in chronic pain and getting out of the car earlier this year in the snow, I fell and damaged my lower back causing loss of sensation in the outer of my legs and feet and hideous back pain, meaning I spend most days horizontal!
I had a TKR in march which made things 100 times worse!

These people are on a different planet, I cant use the words I want to as it would soooo offend and now I am stressed out and in a really bad mood!
Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent a bit

They are utter morons. To paraphrase George Bernard Shaw, he who can does, he who cannot goes and works for the government and makes stupid decisions. Prats, the lot of them.

Congrats on getting on here tho, quite a few are struggling! I wish you well. DD

    Hi Zec :)

You rant away as much as you please. You have every right to do so.

It is utterly ridiculous isn't it? What is the matter with these people? How can the doc who interviewed you be so two faced telling you one thing and writing down something completely different. They appear to be doing this day in and day out. Probably told to only let one person get through in a day or week. I bet you are livid and I am as well now.

Hi Zech, how ludicrious and annoying. Looks like you will be joining the long line of appeals and tribunals ...

I think the people who make this decisions should then be challenged with the task of finding jobs for the people they deem fit to work ... and until they manage it - the person should be on full benefits ...

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Precisely!! If the folks making the decisions then had to deal with the practical (or not so practical) implications - they might be a bit more sensible in their decision making ...

You could always be a life drawing class model?!

    Hi Zech!

Stoopid peeps aren't they? Would they work with your condition? I think NOT! :x

Will you ask for the decision to be reconsidered? It's worth a shot and then if that doesn't work, then appeal. I hear appeals are overturned at a high rate, the whole system stinks! I've got all this to come :?

Let us know how you get on

I have already asked for an appeal form, I fully understand that many people are ripping off the system and they need to check.

So get my hospital records, MRI's, xray's, surgery reports cannot lie, the pain clinic say to keep positive as feeling low and down can cause more pain!

the current ATOS system causes alot of pain!

    Hi Zeth
I am so sorry those fools are causing you all this stress, if you can find dorcas post just read it, she is in the same position.
It is all wrong, but you know that, put your appeal in right away and get your MP involved.
    Good Luck

    Hi

I got told recently by a back to work advisor who was trying to push me into applying for jobs i didnt feel able enough to go for that only people who are terminally ill do not get put in the work related group...
I think its wrong, think you can be severely incapacitated but not terminal and therefore not be hassled to apply for jobs to satisfy an incompetent government..

    Appeal bud...

Why don't the decision makers come and live with you for a week where they can observe how capable you are.As it stands you are dragged out of your home feeling awful and in pain and told well you must be okay as you got to the interview.

It is an utter shambles. Poor Zechariah you must feel so angry.
