Rash and I'm losing the plot

I thought I'd posted a thread about a rash I've got but when I looked on the board there was nothing there  To cut a long story short, rash is around my ankles and calves but no-where else. It's like tiny pin pricks. I'm on Hydroxy and about a million other drugs (I'd made a joke about Damien Hirst before but it has lost it spontaneity now!) Anyone else had similar? What did they do? I know someone on Hydroxy had a rash a while back but can't find my way round this flipping new board.
I've got to talk to the doctor on Monday anyway and I think it can wait til then but any ideas helpful.

Thanks Lynn! See, I am losing the plot! I managed to save it as a draft as well but couldn't find it again. :)

I had a similar rash when on meth tablets, it affected my forearms. It didn't itch and wasn't painful in any way. Talk to the doc and see what he says - let us know. Take care. DD

hi DD, thanks. I will talk to her on Monday. It might just be a combination of so many drugs. How are you feeling today? Did you manage to get any sleep last night?

I hope this reply is in a larger font! Thank you for asking, yes, I had some sleep but I am feeling quite ill today, pain everywhere and very tired. I am still in bed and I think I will stay here. I hope you get some answers on Monday. DD

I must say that I'm not very good with this new set up it seems a lot less clear, but thats maybe me or the fact I'm not used to it yet! I posted something and it seemed to disappear so I repeated it and I've never found out what happened to the original.

Sorry, this isn't helping with your rash is it? I agree that you should speak to either your doctor or a practise nurse. I find the pictures of rashes are very confusing and I end up thinking I've some awful disease, but then I do that anyway!

Hi Sue, think lots of us are having problems. I am messing about with settings and getting so I can read it a bit better. Not looking at photos of rashes! Given up trying to diagnose myself. I'll wait til Monday unless it spreads.

    HI

so sorry to hear about the rash :( I know what that feels like having still got mine which started in August

It is only now that the steroids are being reduced that i realise how well they had been helping keep the itching at bay

I really would say to see your doctor, as with all these meds we take, it is so hard for them to know what is what. The cuplrit for mine wasn't finally decided upon until I'd had an emergency dermatology consultation ...... and now I wait for the drug to leave my system ... and wait .... and wait

Hope yours will be a lot less bothersome and a lot easier to deal with.

    good luck

Sounds like it could well be one of the many drugs, there are so many side effects of the mountains of pills that we all take, I am sure my pompholyx is due to the pregabalins, but the gp says not. (we beg to differ). Could be contact dermatitis, if you have changed a wash powder, soap, things like that.
The drugs do tend to make our skin more sensitive, dryer, paler in colour...........the list goes on. I hope the GP sorts it out or finds someone who can. Hugs, xX Bubbles

Hi, hope you manage to get an appointment at the docs and find out about your rash. If you can't get in then pop and see the pharmacist.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Hi Cris, yes, the sooner they get this forum sorted the better! Doc didn't phone when she was supposed to but she will get back to me at some point. I'm not overly worried as it isn't spreading. The only thing is that I'm so tired. But, been told I've got my Blue Badge today so am over the moon about that. At last! It will me a lot.

Sorry to hear things are still proving difficult for you. Let's hope phase is over soon. love S
