I thought it is about time I shared some positive news with you all. I've just been told I've been approved for my Blue Badge. Hurrah! My OT has been fantastic and helped me through the last hurdle. Let's hope the drugs start working soon and I can give it back! That would quite nice too. :) Not only will it be very helpful, I feel someone has recognised how difficult it has been for me to get around.

    That is great news.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Oh that is good, salamander. It's there is you need to use it, you don't have to if you are having a good day, it really does help - when you can find a space, that is! Welcome to a new experience - BB rage! That can fire one up and keep one gong for a goodly part of the day! DD

Oh it's grand - cars in BB spaces without a BB, or just a leather badge holder, CLOSED, on the dashboard or - my particular favourite - just the clock! One suffers an attack of righteous anger which is most satisfying - and yes, it can fuel one for a while! DD

    Hi sal

Glad you are now waiting for the post to bring your blue badge.

It is really useful but yes you have to be early at some of these shopping centres or supermarkets to get a space :)

Hope it makes your tasks easier for you.

Thanks Barbara! I've got to negotiate all the complicated rules in my city. Every borough seems to have a different policy. I suspect I will get a few tickets before it becomes familiar. I am really chuffed though. It will make a big difference to me.

    Hi Sal,
Well that is good news. Enjoy your new found freedom. Just in time for the Christmas rush too.
Well done for getting it sorted.

Thanks I, don't think I'll be going to the west end with it though!
