well I for one would love a spot of global warming right now, it's been 3 and a half weeks now and British gas still haven't come back to finish of me boiler repair, they are meant to be coming Monday after canceling yesterdays visit at 6pm!, that's the second time now, we have a wood stove but it's starting to lose the fight against the cold, why do we bother paying for a contract, they are more than happy to take your money but don't employ enough warm bodies to do all the work, I bet their top bods get a bloody bonus for Christmas, all I'm going to get is frost bite, hang on got to go there seems to be a peguin at the front door!?.

I might be wrong Mell but I think you can claim compensation if they don't come when they said they would. I got £30 once :!:
Good luck and hope they turn up soon.

PS I didn't have to claim it really, they just sent it :!:

    Mell

Threaten to change providers, I pay £250 per year for mine. Itsoutrageous the prices they charge, I may have a little look at different providers myself.

3 and 1/2 weeks is not acceptable and you are the person to challenge them with your wit & repo repart, communication skills!!

This is the usual standard of service from BG, despite their trumpetting 'We come on the same day' in their latest ad. They dont, they never have and they never will. Cancel your contract and use a local guy. The ones we have had in the past for boiler repairs/servicing do have the wonderful habit of turning up when they say they will, doing a good job that does not require a follow-up visit, and not charging the earth. Give BG what they deserve - the boot. I hope it all gets sorted soon. DD

well it's to late anyway Barbara, we've eaten the last husky and I'm sure there's a Polar bear skulking around outside, once he's eaten the Penguin that's living in the coal bin he'll be in here after the war office and little war office, no it's time to do the honourable and throw them out first so they don't suffer and while Mr bear is having tiffin I'll leg it, well slowly, either way I think I will have enough time to make a clean get away, and who says marriage doesn't have an up side!.

I hope your two war offices have survived, I admire your gentlemanly endeavours in chucking them out first - not. Women and children first usually means rescue, not slaughter, you cheeky boy! Any news on the gas front? DD
