Hi
Went to an amazing concert with my daughter last night at O2 academy in Leeds.
We were there from 15.15 concert didnt start till 19.00hrs
It was freezing freezing freezing even though we were well wrapped up!
If any one is thinking of going to any O2 events they give priority to O2 users & they let you in 1st
All my joints were stiff & painful but it was worth it as we got to stand right at the front & I had the barrier to lean on
The Goo Goo Dolls were fantastic & the time went so quickly
My daughter managed to take lots of pictures so cant wait to see them
Im paying the price now & need to go for a lie down but well worth it
Im happy happy happy
Hope alls well
Maria x

    Hi Maria,

Nice to see you and really glad you enjoyed it! Sorry your paying for it though but sometimes its worth it eh?

Are they a pussycat dolls tribute group? I haven't heard of them but an ashamed to say I do like the PD's music.

I hope you are able to rest up for a bit ... went to see faithless a couple of years ago and it took days for my stupid banes to get over it... and longer for the ears :lol::lol: Cris xx

    Right here goes again
    Cris Hi,
They are not a tribute band they have been around 25yrs they are from America
Id say they reminde me of 80s rock abit like Whitesnake Aerosmith Magnum (no not the icecream the group were 1st) that sort of thing
My daughter 1st saw them singing on the American tv show called Charmed at age of 7 & 9yrs later still likes them
So it was really cool going to a concert with her as not many mums would be asked so I was really pleased when she asked me
Both children were brought up on rock music as it was & still is played in the house so really they had to like it
Although they even like slipknot a dreadful dreadful band I say to my son its a good job your mum & dad are both old rockers or you wouldnt be allowed to play that noise we even have them on in the car well usually my car
So far ive not managed to crash the car when the cds on YET!
Hope you are doing ok Cris Ive got my op in 5 days time I will be so glad when its all done
    Take Care Maria x

I have never heard of them - I am firmly in the dance/trance world but respect to you for going, I wouldn't even countenance the idea! I am sorry about payback but I guess it goes with the territory - having a good time should sooooooo not be punished by pain. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. DD

I have just seen your reply to skezier - good luck with the op! Let us know, when you can, how you got on.
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi Maria,

You going to be ok with the op flower and shall be in your pocket if needed.

I am sorry I know quite a bit about music but don't think I remember them  used to quite like Aerosmith and actually agree with your son .... slipknot are good....:lol: Kinda love modern music really.....

It sounds like a good time and I miss gong to concerts and the big stadium ones back along.... Saw a few back then... Floyd and Queen at wembley, Yes as well and the second mandela concert will always be special as well...... so was Live Aid but got so fleeced and in trouble with my partner for giving away the mortgage money but come on it was the vid to the Cars that did me! He never cancelled the check and I juts did more overtime......

Saw Floyd at earl court as well for the wall and when it 'blew up' got some of the wall but over the years it disintegrated  Saw the re-formed at Knebworth and they were better than they had been for years!

Modern I have seen Snow Patrol ( I love chasing cars and Run) and Keen and Faithless but as you get older and the bones hurt more it gets harder eh?! Did think about going to see faithless again this month but I just haven't got it in me....

I have totally digressed here

Sending you hope and a ((((( ))))) for the op and keep in touch please. Cris xx
