thank you so much, i appreciate it.

im really happy. it has relieved so much stress and worry and im actually smiling. my husband and kids makes me smile dont get me wrong theyre fab at cheering me up but this has lifted such a weight.

the thing ive really been waiting for is to get a blue badge. i have so many problems getting in and out of cars and my legs are so weak when ive been sat in a car that walking to the entrances of stores is such a struggle. just to be able to use the disabled bays knowing im entitled to will be such a relief. that itself is such a big change for me and its these little things that will help me.

thanks everyone for your kind messages, i do appreciate them. my hubby and i shall be celebrating my birthday next week at home still with a takeaway and a dvd but with a much bigger smile x

Wow, that's wonderful, I'm very pleased for you!

And you've finally made me apply for help to get a higher rate on the care componabt myself, something I've been meaning to do for at least the last year, so thank you.

i wasnt holding out much hope myself, thought i was going to have a battle on my hands but apparently not. obviously its taken a while, i applied in june, but it has been worth waiting for. thankfully i have good medical staff, my gp and my rheummy have been fantastic and the gp that gave me the medical for the claim was lovely.

i asked the CAB to help complete the form, i don't think i would have been so successful myself.

good luck to those awaiting decisions. its nice to know they do help people who need it at times x

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
