Morning dorcas, I hope you slept well last night and are feeling better today. That was a scary reaction, wasn't it? Hopefully things are now settled and you can pass a pleasant Sunday. Take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi DD, Barbara, Berty, Fayann, Chris, Elna, Ironic, Lynn (thanks for the roses), Cris (who now owes me roses), Wonky (thank hubby for the choc which Cris hasn't managed to nick )
Thank you all for your kind messages, hugs and support it means so much to me...especially as I know you all have your own health and other worries to contend with.
I've had plenty of rest and am feeling much my old self now.
I have been thinking since having that 'scare' on Friday and now when I look back, if I'm honest with myself, pretty much from the start of the Infliximab infusions there were signs that it really wasn't the drug for me.
I was just holding on to hope... as we do...that this anti tnf would work for me. I'm not sure what alternatives there are for me but no doubt will find out on 1st Dec.
Lynn I don't now if it's a funding issue about the way PA tends to be behind RA in getting drug approval, I'll ask my rheummy if he knows and let you know.
love and thanks to all,
Iris xxx0 -
Hi Iris, glad you are feeling more yourself.
I wonder if new meds are approved quicker for RA because it is more prevalent than PA?
In general does what works for RA work for the "A" part of PA?
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
hi Iris,
What roses.... I don't know anything about any roses.....must have been sleep walking Would have had Wonky's but she had left an anti-cris trap cus she knew....
Glad your feeling a bit better and you never know what you might find when you start asking cus a lot is unlicensed for pa but still used so hang in there flower. ((((( ))))) and a hope Love Cris xxx0 -
thanks Speedy and Cris
Speedy,
I really don't understand why drugs are licensed first for RA.. but it may well be that you're right and it's to do with prevalence of the condition. There are a huge number of sero-negative inflammatory arthers though, which includes PA. confusing isn't it!
The rheummy's do treat them very much the same, though they are different and their effects (pattern, bone damage) quite distinct.
Even our lovely AC talk mostly in terms of RA in their statements, press releases and responses to government. :? but I guess they'd have to produce a pretty long list if they wanted to include every type of arther... and that just wouldn't be practical.
Cris,
sleep walking? I think not..sweet walking more like
remember the diet??..think of all those cyber calories.
I'm definitely going to be doing more research into what's available for PA ers at the moment (cause even that seems to vary depending on where you live  ) and I will remember to check on what new anti tnfs / biologics are 'out there'.
hope you both are having an ok day. :?:
(((hugs)))

Iris, so good to have you back in "I`ll sort the bugg**s mode"........in your own inimitable way, of course!
Seriously, I was really worried, because even the strongest people get floored sometimes, and these episodes can play on your mind, and kick off the "what if`s".
You haven`t let it, so good on you girl.......Much love......Ange.x.0 -
Hi Iris,
Glad to see you up and about and feeling more positive. Good luck with the research and I have no doubt you will have compiled a list of questions by the 1st.
Well I must say all this roses snaffling is getting out of hand. Hey do you think if I get all these wrappers together they would make some nice Xmas tree decorations.
Or maybe a rosette for pony’s?
Woops might have given out some clues there.
Hugs,
Ix0 -
Evening Iris
I am so glad that you are recovering from your nasty experience and starting to feel a bit better. I have been thinking of you.

Hi Iris,

Hope you had a good night flower and I was sleep walking.... and know nothing about any roses except sheep like them.......
Leaving you some saffron and a (((( )))) and a hope as well as good luck with the research... I really hope you find something before your next appointment. Love Cris who really liked the orange one xxx
Hey I,
What clues were they then
Hope your dong ok and hows the mtx going flower? (((( )))) xxx0 -
Hi iris
I haven't managed to get on much the last couple of days and I just wanted to let you know how sad I am that this is not a go-er for you
Woeful sigh.......
At least Cris has been letting me know that you are ok by text so I was aware that life has been shift for you.
I think the clues were there weren't they? and they were there for us if we had read between the lines.
At the end of the day, (who is it who hates that??), I am just glad you are ok.
Love and hugs and some choccy too
