Hello, Sorry not to have told you about my hospital visit, but the truth is that I hav'nt been able to get on the site. Every time I've tried its just locked up the computer.
I had the scan on Friday, it was done by a consultant and she told me what she could see. I have a cyst where the overy used to be. She said it was not, in her opinion malignant, but she would but she is going to recommend to the rheummy who referred me that I see a gyneacologist (sp) for a second opinion. She didn't think it would need treatment, but she would like to be sure. I think that is fairly good news, but I'm still a bit unsure. She said they might leave it, but I would be happier, I think, if it is removed. She said it could be endometrosis or even part of the fellpian tube that has turned over and formed a cyst! I do feel a lot better now, and I feel sure its going to settle as nothing too bad.
Waiting was awful about half an hour, but people kept comeing out of the rooms and making appointments for radiotherapy and chemo. The doctor I saw was an oncologist!!! It made me feel a bit sick! Anyway I hope this post gets on alright and apologize for the system!!! love Sue

Hi.
Complicated our womens bits and pieces aren't they :?:
It must have been scary with the oncologist and the others walking about- i think i'd have done a runner :!: :!:
try not to worry as it sounds as if the scan was ok.
Easier said than done i know.
The website was down over the weekend and some of the other forums I'm on were off as well, nasty gremlins at work i think :!: :!: :!:0 -
Morning woodbon, I hope you slept OK last night. Try not to fret: it's been seen, a plan is being formed, I am sure it is benign (mine was, if that helps, mind you I never assumed it wasn't!) and people are aware of you so if it does turn nasty (which it won't) you can guarante being seen pronto. It's frosty here today, and it looks pretty - I bet you have frost too! Take care and keep warm. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Oh Sue, that sounds so scary. *Hugs* I'm glad they don't think it needs treatment but it's good they are referring you for a 2nd opinion.
Take care. x0 -

Hi Sue
thank you so much for letting us know how you are.
So very very glad it is nothing serious. Thanks to whoever for that.
If you do decide to have it removed do let us know when you are going in or we will worry.

Hi I spoke to the Rhuemmys consultant sec this afternoon, the one that referred me and she said that the report is through on the computer, but not been seen by the doc yet, so she is going to print it off and put it on his desk, so that he can sign it and they can make the gyne appointment. She said that is what he'd do anyway, now the scan has shown a problem, but she said if it were hers she'd be pleased and although she's not a medic, it looks good. Love Sue0
