    Oh Val poor you.
Rest up as much as you can & keep your neck warm.
I wear a scarf even in the house when mine gets that bad & the warmth helps.
Hot bath, Anti inflams & pain killers is about as much as you can do til it settles.
we all do to much at times.

Sounds like payback to me, valval. Rest as much as you can over the next few days and the next time you have a mad fit on like that, pace yourself! I admire the spirit tho - do you have any spare? DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Hi, I love Lynne's comment about the dust protecting the carpet, in that case mine will last for ever!!! 8)

Seriously, I have a bad neck and I find that house work like cleaning the bathroom dusting and hoovering are the worst things, my physio asked me what I thought made the pain really bad and I told her, she said its the position you're in, with the neck extended and the arms up, which puts too much strain on the muscles and joints, especially when the joints are already sore. Shes started me on some exercises to help build up the muscles, so they will take the strain from the joints, but I must only do them little and often, otherwise it can be too much strain.
 I've been doing them a week, but no different, but then, you have to give things time!!! :) Love Sue

Oh Val, isn't that s*ds law. What an annoying setback. You really shouldn't do the exercises for a few days - just the heat and resting and pain meds. When your body has forgiven you start the exercises again.

    Speedy

PS on a plus note that is great that the exercises have been working. Don't despair they will again once you have got over this painful blip.
I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
