Is your local pub in danger of closing soon

We have a quiz every other Tuesday at the local pub. Anyway, last night there was only us doing the quiz, and nobody else at all. I can't help feeling that a lot of these village pubs will close when the goverment puts V.A.T. on the price in January.

Our local pubs are doing OK - well, those that specialise in real ale are, the chains/lager palaces are not. You will find me occasionally in the former, never the latter. Life is too short to drink lager. DD

    Yeh, it's me . I couldnt Log in with my password for some reason, so had to re register. Nice to hear from you again, I will try to have a chat with you over the coming days.

    When the forum was upgraded the advice from on high was to click on 'I've forgotten my password', then follow the instructions from there. That didn't always work tho, so quite a few have re-registered. It is good to have you back, alan, I 've been wondering how you were - I hope that pesky neck is behaving!

    williamlargs, where are you? Tough on the Rangers tonight, I thought. DD

    If I was still living in Britain most local pubs would be safe.One thing Spaincan't give me is a good pint of bitter and the laughs and friendship of a good pub.
