Hi, I cant seem to get in touch with anyone at the moment.
I did go to see my GP this morning because for a week now my back has been so sore....He has put me on codeine as well now to be taken whe I need it.
He also looked at the text bit of the MRI which is all anyone seems to have {not the pictures} and he said reading this...."I wouldnt let a physiotherapist anywhere near my back. if I were you"....Well thats what I'm waiting for.....a physio appt that the back specialist is supposed to be sorting out for me...More confusion
Love
Hileena

Oh Hileena it doesn't get any better does it? The only thing to remember is that the GP is not a specialist and the back specialist wouldn't have recommended physio if he thought it was not the right thing for you. So I would be tempted to take the GP's comment with a good pinch of salt. Not helpful though is it?

So have you got any ideas about what to do next to chase up the physio appt? Really hope it comes through soon Hileena.

    Oh Hileena

I'm sorry, it's never ending for you just now.

I'd think the physio will want to know what the results of your MRI scan are too before he/ she touches your back. Who has the actual scan pics and results? your hip surgeon?... would it be worth contacting him again.

Seems unfair that you are the one chasing this up and your doc's comments must add to your frustration and worry.

Other than contacting the hip surgeon who arranged the MRI ( maybe it should be your doc who does that) then I'd be making sure the physio knows what you/ doc's concerns are and has all the facts before starting on any treatment.

sorry I've not been very helpful Hileena.

    thinking of you.

GP = general practitioner, so not an 'expert' on anything. I wonder where the pictures of your bra have gone? I expect they are pinned up in a canteen somewhere, being used as a dartboard! Seriously, they do need to be hunted out and the hospital should be doing that, not you. I think dorcas is, as usual, on exactly the right track. I wish you well in your quest. DD

    Hi
I've just managed to get in touch with the back specialists secretary .....she was just about to leave. We ended up chatting about all sorts of things ....anyway she says that she'll check first thing tomorrow when she comes in and the referral to the physio should be on a tape that she has...if it is she'll get it off immediately......thats something...at least they know I'm still about and waning to know whats happening....She says he will probably tell the physio to assess me and report it back to him before doing anything.
Well its snowing hard here....I'll be going out about 6pm but I've managed to talk Peter into taking me and bring me home LOL

    Hi again Hileena

So pleased you managed to get hold of the secretary. Hopefully she will do as she says and get things moving for you sooner rather than later.

So you've got snow eh? I never believe the weather forecast when it says snow, but sounds as if they were right in your neck of the woods!

    Hi Hileena,
Well it does go on and on for you. It’s a good job that you can be pro-active about this. Someone else might have given up by now. Let hope his secretary is as good as her word.
No snow here but everything is frozen over, including me!

    Hi Hileena

Sorry you are still chasing paper and in confusion but am sure as the others say the physio will assess you and see your scan before considering anything. Must be so painful for you at the moment. Hope you are not messed about any further.

We had snow in my bit of North Yorkshire today but it hasn't stuck around thankfully. Hope you have a good evening, take care
