As you know, some of us are talented artists.

I have had a painting accepted again this year for exhibition at the New Art Gallery Walsall. So if you are in the area and want to see an excellent display, then go up to the top floor, 10 December 2010 - 16 January 2011 where my painting, along with others, will be on display.

And its free.

    Hi Joseph

    congratulations-1.jpg

    WELL DONE :!: :!: :D:D

A talented artist you certainly are :!: I will definitely be over to Walsall to see the exhibition. If your painting is anything like last year's, it will be brilliant.

All your paintings are stunning and they come alive when you look at them.

Can you still put them on here so we can look them?

Sorry I live too far away but good luck

I realise that many will not be able to view the actual painting, so I have put a selection of recent works online at http://www.greatwyrley.org.uk/paint2010.html To keep the paintings reasonably accurate there may be a short delay while the page loads. All pictures on the website are copyright of greatwyrley.org.uk©

Firstly, click on any picture, which will bring them forwards and then move your mouse down to where there is a hidden control bar at the bottom of the screen. If you click the central arrow they will rotate every few seconds. Or, if you wish, just click on the next one at the edge to move them round.

After, just click in the centre of any picture to move the pictures back to their thumbnail size.

The one of the steps and bridge (acrylic on canvas, 20" X 16") is the one chosen for the exhibition. As per normal, the online pictures don't do justice to the actual finished paintings.

Beautiful paintings, Joseph, and a very clever on-line presentation too :D My favourite ones of yours are still the ones which can't be seen on here because they are hanging on my wall. :D

the pathway through the country/side with the gate to the right has a lovely optimistic feel. :) Tinkerbelle
I really should have labelled them properly, but I was struggling a bit with a mouse, as my lovely trackball has stopped working after many years. It was a case of getting the paintings online somehow, also using a new program for the first time that I had as a freebie some weeks ago.

The track, with a 'gate' on the right is a track between the rows of a vineyard near Halfpenny Green, Wolverhampton. The grapes were not yet properly grown, so they don't show at all. I liked the look of where the vines had fallen down from the supporting wires at that point on the right and took a photo, then painted it using that as inspiration. I hope that makes the content a little better to enjoy.
