    Hi Karen,

I am glad you got the appointment and hope they can help you big time.

We do half decent pocket duties if you need some moral support?

Let us know how you get one could you please? I have a few problems with the c's in my neck and the lumbers are fairly shot a well so will be very interested to hear what they are saying to you/

Years ago (back in the late '80's) i had big problems with the lower spine. Its when they first discovered how arthritic it was as well. BUT found a brilliant surgeon and he made me good again. Its held all these years so fingers crossed they can really help you.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you flower. Cris x

    Hi

I reckon they will be testing you :? likley will be checking relexes etc to see what is and istnt working and what level of numbness you have. I lost my whole leg at one point so I understand totally :(

    Your list looks good.

and as I always say - take someone with you

When is it? We will hop in your pockets to support you if it helps?

    LOve

I have not experienced one of these but take your list: that will give them info about you, and perhaps ask them to explain any tests they give you. I am sure it will all go well. Good luck. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

I've been seeing a neurologist for about 5 years and they at first thought I had MS, had numerous scans one of which said my lower back was "a bit of a mess" I have spondelothesis in my spine along with OA and damaged L5 etc they diagnosied SMA spinal muscular atrophy
my right arm is very very weak and have to hold it up by my other hand to brush hair reach for things clean teeth etc
I also get tingling in my back neck and arm and leg which is why I was given Gabapentin which helps with nerve pain, my right arm muscle had thick needles pushed into it to test my strength which was very bad, so having had my TWR on my left wrist and my worn out right arm things have been a struggle at times , part of me still thinks its MS just a gut feeling but who knows

    Hi
you have been through the mill:(
Looks like I've got a long journey ahead of me!
I thought I had MS as well as I overheard my ortho
but I've had brain MRI and they said no signs of lesions
yet I have muscle weakness in legs and arms and emg test confirmed this .
I find drying my hair takes a long time it's only short but it's holding the dryer my arms so weak !
    I will keep you posted
take care in this horrible weather

    Hi karen

I am very interested in this post as I have just had my first neuro app cancelled. This week I expect a letter with a new app on it and I hope it is soon. I also have trouble with c4 and c5 discs and the adantoid joint too. These are results of mri scan.
When is your app. I will be in your pocket with my ear close to the top trying to listen.

I don't know what to expect and I am pretty nervous.
    I have RA.

Please let us know how you get on.

    Take care

    Hi Karen :D

that's a lot to take in ... but it sounds as though you've got good people looking after you who have been very thorough and careful in their investigations.

I don't know anything of the neuro tests but hopefully these will pin point areas for treatment and that you'll be given advice and lots of support from the neuro team. :D

let us know when you're appointment is so that we can hop in your pocket.
