Hi Spacey
I had never heard of this, but have just looked it up on google and can appreciate how painful this must be...
Is it worth getting some blood tests done by your GP to see if there is anything else going on with your muscles or joints??
Best wishes

Hi spacey
I am sorry you are in pain, sorry I cant answer your question but please let us know how you get on.
I have Gabapentin for nerve pain ...wonder if it is related.
Hope you get some relief very soon.
Love

Hi Spacey, yes I suffered from this a lot pre-op and after my op when I over do it. Remedial sports massage from a therapist who treats trigger points can really help as can self treatment.
I discovered this myself when I had a tension headache I could not get rid of. I asked a colleague at work about it and she lent me a book. The book uses all the correct muscle names which I found a bit off putting at first, but I stuck with it and cured the headache! I then started reading the book some more and realised I had other trigger points that I treated.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0
