Hi Jo-ann, sorry your having it rough, it ain't nice what this weather can do when combined with the dreaded Arthur... Wouldn't it be nice to be able to appreciate how nice it looks in winter without the payback, lol...
Don't know what your op is or what part of the country you're in but my Uncle had his new hip put in on friday in pontefract, and it was really bad weather-wise there that day, so hopefully yours will be ok..

Hi Jo-Ann,
I will keep my fingers crossed the op does indeed go ahead..... You try not to worry about it too much though.
Oh this weather.... we have this special cold damp thing hat
gets into you as soon as it see's you, nothing new there mind its a regular winter companion but of late its been so cold.....
We had -19 at the start of the year and so far here has only been -11 but I am so sick of being cold and am sure the hunching up doesn't hepl cus your tense.
Electric blankets have a post over on LW and some find them helpful and some don't but me...... I find heat helps and the over blanket wraps round the back and helps to shut the lumber down....
only problem I got is I have it too high and do wake up slightly cooked at times
I get hip pain especially lying on them but now have 2 duvets under the sheet to sleep on and that kind of helps... maybe one of those memory things could help you?
Fingers crossed you soon have less pain and will be thinking of you Wednesday. Cris x0 -

Well it official spoke to sunderland royal today, well the ortho dept & got to ring the day case unit tomorrow between 5 & 6 to get my time to go in on wednesday, so fingers crossed for me
Had the electric blanket on last night, my word how warm was it had to turn it off after being in bed for 5 mins, so again had a pretty restless night again, so again tonight il go through the ritual of watching my CSI programmes and try to totally relax before switching that tv off and hoping like hell that i fall asleep
thanks for the great wishes people
