Anyone here seen the light?

I have just heard on the radio that people are reporting seeing a very bright light in the sky. Reports have come in from across the country and there is much speculation about what is causing it - a meteor is the current front runner. I've had a butchers out the back - nothing, just the usual sodium glow. DD

Last bright light I saw in the sky was the morning Buncefield fuel depot went up.....
I was about a mile away.........in a block of woodland.....
Now that was scary........whole sky lite up.....
And pieces of metal and oil drums came through the woods.....
Just as well I was wearing brown trousers....

Hi DD,
Saw something on the way home and wondered what it was.... its a clear star sparkled sky so might take the dogs round the fields and have a look again.....
Like the sky so its not a chore to go look... now where is my 3rd fleece..... Cris xx0 -
They probably said 'I was heading north' but it was mistyped, that would be my guess. I didn't see it - DD misses out again. Typical.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Well it's not going to be any inteligent life now is it?, anyone one who can make a space ship that can travel across the void to visit us in this far of backwards planets deep in the western spiral arm of our little galexy has more sense than to come down here for a chat, all they need to do is watch TV to see how violent and nasty it can get(Bush had his uses after all then!), so that's ruled that out so it just leaves a comet, asteroid Santa or a super or hyper nova, if it's the latter then prey were not in line to the poles, if we are then fasten your seat belt Dorothy, 'cause Kansas is going bye-bye!.0

It's usually very clear here and one night we saw a bright light travelling across the sky that seemed to last for hours,it turned out it was a laser projected from a nightclub in a neighbouring town Could it be that x:?: x:?:0
