Having a bit of a bad week...Don't normal moan about it but i think it maybe due to the way i am walking on the ice/snowy ground outside. My lower back is really aching, neck hips, knees and feet also joined in. Not only that my hands have been playing up as well. Feel like i am falling apart. One good thing has happened is my stomach pains are nearly gone, so it looks like my other meds for preventing my cancer returning were causing the problem. So will be heading back to try and sort some kind of pain relief. New drug is causing other side affects like i have nausea on and off and feeling tired and wanting to go to bed....that is getting better but not sure whether it will go all together. I am hoping that this drug does settle otherwise i will have to go back to the original drug i was on....That gave me terrible pains in my feet and nearly crippled me. I don't know why i am moaning really i am still alive and kicking...Need to kick myself up the bottom me thinks.

HI Lupin
I am with you with the extra pain and stiffness and fatigue just now ....... del is right to remind us that we need to relax when walking, but I find that it is the effort needed in the deep snow that we have here, that is adding to my problems.
hobson's choice here - slip on ice or wade through snow
hope you feel better soon

Hi, yes I know what you mean about the aches and pains and I've been topping up with the paracetamol, which I try not to do. This weather does effect us and as you say, when you walk outside you don't walk properly because of the ice and that makes things worse! We could all do with a break now, some nice warm sun, even if it isn't very warm. AND NO MORE ICE AND SNOW!!!! x:( Love Sue0

Hi Lupin,
Like Wonky I have increased pain I just think its the way t goes sometimes but the new tablets... can you take some anti-emetics at all? I do now and then and they sort of help.
I so hope that it will all ease off for you soon and the tablet balance will get back to being ok again for you. Cris x0 -
Hi lupin
Just popping in to show I care.
Hope you start feeling better soon

Too much playing in the snow, methinks lupin15. I know you love it (as do I) but it is treacherous stuff for people like us! It is true, one does tense up when walking (I use that term loosely, you understand) in it - the snow is OK, it's the ice underneath that is the dangerous stuff. Stay in, rest, keep warm and I am sure all will settle again. DD
Now those two can cope with snow!Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Oh Lupin I am so sorry you are struggling so much at the moment. But your comment about "kicking yourself up the bottom" made me chuckle because I have a mental picture of you trying to do this! x:))
Thinking of you.

So sorry that your neck has decided to join in too. You really didn't need that as well did you?!
Thinking of you.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today Lupin..
I have had a few more aches and pains in my knees this week and I'm sure it's because I've been walking so 'gingerly' in case I slip .
Make the most of th enext few relatively mild days - cos I gather the cold is coming back again - terrific!!

Aw Lupin,
I wish we had a magic wand for you. I hope you have managed to get an appointment to double check your meds.
This cold weather certainly does not help. The snow is melting here but the forecast is not exactly promising for next week. Keep warm and rest whenever possible.
Sending some gentle hugs your way,

Feeling a lot better now folks but it has warmed up and...NO NOW OR ICE HOORAY. My hands have now had me up on and off all night but i was bottling up my home made brew yesterday evening so wonder whether doing too much has set them off!!!!
The bit i am struggling with is not knowing when too much is too much for my body and not knowing what each day will bring. This condition is so unpredictable and i am sure other people have the same problem. Oh well today is another day.0 -
Ah, tolerance levels, that hoary old chestnut. Basically, I think it boils down to this: if you are doing something you enjoy and love, you can only do about half of it before trouble sets in. If you are doing something you dislike with a vengeance, then one can do it for hours and hours with no ill-effects. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hello Lupin
I was so pleased to see from your post earlier today that you are feeling much better than you were, but sorry that your hands kept you up.
I did chuckle at DD's comment about tolerance levels DD you are so right!
I too get very frustrated by my limitations but try very hard not to because, as OH is always telling me, it wastes precious energy. Unfortunately I find that often, you only know you've done too much when you've done too much (if you see what I mean). I've really stopped trying to plan for now and just take each day in "bite size chunks" and do what I can, when I can.
Hope your home brew is successful Lupin and that you continue to feel better.
Love Tilly xxx0
